Does recon device reveal you on the map?

As per what the title said, does recon device reveal our position on the map?

There should be zero audio spotting in the game. If you hear shots, run toward the sound, it shouldn't pop up on the minimap.

I am assuming that was what you meant; does "firing" the recon device reveal you?

No, firing the Recon tool doesn't reveal you on the mini-map.

Yes the recon dart reveals your position within a certain radius of the fired dart, depends on how far the user certed into it. Extremely effective in bio labs.:)

Doesn't the actual dart show up as an enemy on the mini map? I don't think you show up on the enemy mini map when you fire it, but I seem to remember the dart did show on their map.

No it doesn't, there is a grenade that creates a lot of enemy dots

Disagree, but I suppose it could be reduced to a contact direction, instead of a 2D fix. All sorts of abstractions get made when trying to translate the human experience once removed.

Shooting the recon gun does not make you appear.
