It's probably going to be a special weapon of sorts, like the lasher, as opposed to a more conventional weapon. They wouldn't waste such a cool reload animation on another assault rifle.

Probably the most interesting thing about it is that it's not using the circular batteries for ammo, unlike nearly every other VS weapon to-date.

I like it since it doesn't look like every other Vanu weapon. Although I mostly play as NC and TR so... VS players want to chime in on its recognizability?

Interesting concept for the new battery ejection system, the gun looks like a straight up Pulsar though, VS getting another overhaul pass?

I'm sure I had a super-soaker water pistol that looked just like that. I know it would be completely unfair but it would be damn funny is they gave the Vanu a water pistol; a gun that they could quite literally power with their own tears!

As to the new weapon, well well well doesn't that look rather spiffy. I wonder what kind of weapon it's going to be, judging by the size of the battery. An LMG? Seems too big to be an SMG/carbine/AS. A heavy weapon perhaps or a redesign of the Lasher?
Did they happen to mention anything regarding its function on the Command Center?

Some kind of energy-grenade or micro-missile launcher, perhaps? Something akin to to the Radiator, Thumper or Rocklet Rifle? An area-denial or light AV/anti-MAX weapon would seem a reasonable addition.

I'm hoping this is a replacement model for one of the LMG's. Pulsar LSW and SVA-88 are the same model(and 2 of my Favorite performing weapons when used in their role properly). One of the reasons I run an Ursa now is it's visual distinctiveness. Took some getting used to however performance wise.

Anyway, that shares elements (or is a copy-pasta from) the various rocket launchers. So yeah, definitely looking like a light rocket launcher, beam weapon, or grenade launcher for more than one reason.
