Unreal warfare???

iv seen articles talking about the new part to unreal

UNREAL WARFARE
its supposed to be like planetside but in the unreal universe with land air and sea vehicles unreal animals and everything

if uve played unreal 2 like me u would also be very impressed by the idea so could planetside be in trouble when unreal warfare comes out i want to buy both but ill have to see if ill even care for planetside when unreal comes out

also has anybody seen the russian game soldner its amazing it has like 100 weapons and close to the same vehicles and u can also damage your surroundings

i dont kno it seems planetside is missing allot maybe open beta will awnser my questions but until then planetside is kinda empty

theyll have to make tons of updates on new weapons and vehicles to compete

You know, more isn't always better. Granted, it often is, but a game with more vehicles and more weapons is not, necessarily, going to be more fun. Honestly, in MMORPGs complexity is simply another route for bugs and balance issues. It's necessary in an RPG, but why bog FPS gameplay down with it?

And I'm betting neither of those games are even near the end of their development cycle.

soldner also has player customization

I think more is always better i mean both the engines used for these games are good like the legendary "unreal engine"
planetsides weapons are problably the sadest and it dosent let u customize anything

PS soldner is very close check the site unreal isnt tho

Full, PS lets you customize your character from it's looks right down to it's skills, and what do you mean PS weapons are sad? A couple of people in reinforced armor with PS weaponry could probably take on an entire fireteam of modern day troops. Fer chrisake there using powered shrapnel resistant NBC suits!

you can choose your face, and that's the extent of the customization. but it's better than nothing, because many FPSes don't even let you change haircolor.

Graphics, vehicles, and guns don't make a game fun, it's the gameplay. the items influence it, but games without graphics, such as Text-Based MUDs, its the gameplay that kept players past phase 1.

No actually there not... The game Black Hawk Down had great graphics and lots of weaponry and vehicles but it was still boring as hell. The whole campaign was just one big shootfest with no regard for tactics. Hell, the AI was so incredibly stupid the npcs had NO regard for self preservation. They just stood in neat little rows for you to shoot down. Graphics and the number of weapons and vehicles is NOT what makes a game fun.

You're in the damn army, starting as a "recruit". You can select your face and voice. The uniform you wear is the one of your empire. You're supposed to look the same... kinda the idea behind the uniform.

I believe all blood has to be turned green, or something rediclious like that. Most games I've seen release patches for red blood after the fact anyway.
