Hey all,

If you're unfamiliar with the playlist, the "Analyze This" series of videos typically includes detailed commentary while exploring various avenues of theorycrafting to min/max gameplay. It's everything from meticulously analyzing settings, sensitivities, and keybinds, to digging deep into what a game has to offer in order to utilize advanced decision-making techniques through unorthodox methods of analysis. You can essentially look at this as the homework and research that I often do when not actively gunning down my enemies, and be sure to note that it all goes a long way toward improving your overall success as a gamer.

This particular segment is an extreeeeemly long, yet thorough and information-filled episode covering everything from my exact loadouts and how you can create your own flexible and efficient loadouts, to weapon, ability, and utility selection as well as suggested alternatives for all three empires. I apologize for the length of this video, but I've received a lot of great feedback on my very long and in-depth overviews and this was at the top of the request list. I also apologize for talking so fast at times, but was completely off the cuff without a script and had a LOT of information I wanted to cover without literally talking for hours.

A list of my typical loadouts and some that are projected for the near future (Auraxium medal hunting aside) ended up being REALLY long, but can be found in the original post of the thread I created for this video on the official PlanetSide 2 forums at: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/analyze-this-loadout-flexibility-and-weapon-selection-how-to-be-ready-for-anything.142288/

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for all of your support and feedback. If you found this useful, please hit that thumbs up button and subscribe to my channel for future content! I also sort load-outs by range, makes sense, been avoiding soft point but may give it a try now, nice vid, well explained.

Watched it, kinda like the consistency in your load-out slots.
What was wondering me though was your remark that the TR don't have a good longer range carbine solution. Are you kidding me? The pinpoint high velocity burst champion called T5 AMC will eat the NS 11C for lunch.

I am also not sold on your argument that vertical recoil isn't that important because you can compensate for it. Imo it's important for long range burst firing where compensating is much harder to do. I've done extensive bullet impact holes testing in the VR basement range, which is only 30 m and even on this short range, the impact of gun characteristics (vertical recoil/first recoil multiplier/recoil decrease), and gun attachments (high velocity ammo, compensator) is already noticing when burst firing.
It's the reason why I'm very weary of using high velocity ammo.

Didn't mean to indicate that they didn't have a long range carbine, just that I never used any other than the NS-11C for that role, and that they didn't have an AC-X11 or Pulsar C, because they don't. The T5 AMC may well be very good as you describe, but it still doesn't fill the exact same role/design of the two aforementioned guns. That said, I'll be sure to give it a try.

I'll also say that I did not intend to imply vertical recoil is negligible, but my preference over horizontal since it is quite controllable on the user's end. For sure it's important for bursts at long range, but I guess I often don't engage in those types of fights if I can avoid them and go in to closer quarters, and have always appreciated the Compensator/Foregrip/HVA combo on the guns that I would be firing from a distance on.

Either way, thanks for the contribution to the discussion. I'll certainly try the AMC when I'm done with NS-11C Auraxium. :)

NP, as long as you're not trying to get this medal as TR, I'm fine with that :-) As TR, NS-11C just doesn't make sense.

Naw I meant TR. I used it on NC and just automatically threw it in my long-range loadout on TR. Not saying it's better than the AMC, just never tried it as an alternative.

I also just really play for Auraxiums when it comes to medals, so I certainly will be using a sub-par gun from time-to-time. :)

Fair enough but next time you might want to check your stats before using any NS gun as TR: Repeater > Commissioner, T32 Bull > NS 15M, T5 AMC > NS-11C, LC3 Jaguar > NS-7 PDW (when being LA/engineer).

There's a case you can make for equipping a Commisioner as TR Infiltrator and the NS 11-A does sit nice in the middle between Cycler and Sabre 13 but other than that, there's not much reason for a TR player to equip any NS gun. They're not bad but they have better performing alternatives.

You can almost say the same for NC/VS if you pick it apart. There is usually a single option that will perform better at a very specific role, but there's also the fact that you get very accustomed to NS weaponry when using it across 3 characters that you play regularly. It was more of a no-brainer choice for a long range LA loadout for me as I was already very experienced with it, rather than the min-maxed best possible option. Since I switch constantly after getting Auraxium medals, I admit I don't put as much effort into choosing new weaponry as I would if it was something I was planning on using forever.

That said, TR is likely the faction where I have the least weapon knowledge, so I thank you for the input.
