Next Saturday August 3rd (https://www.soe.com/soelive/lineup.vm) we will be having our PlanetSide Universe Community Player Panel!
Player Panel: PlanetSide 2 Community Roundtable Join the folks from PlanetSide Universe and the Auraxis Global Network as they discuss hot topics from the community in an open forum!
It will be a fairly open discussion revolving around the following topics.
It's only an hour so some of these topics may get removed. I'm asking for your feedback on these topics. Do they look good? Would you rather see us talk about something else? And last off, which ones are most important to you.
The panel will consist of myself, Jennyboo, ReachCast, Matt Higby and possibly other developers.
You have until tomorrow evening CDT to answer as I will be finalizing this for SOE!

The Past Year, PlanetSide 2 has been out almost a year, what has been learned and what surprises were encountered along the way.

With the resource and continental lattice, I think a discussion about facility and continent benefits would be beneficial (Pun super intended) as well. It ties in nicely, if we have time.

Imo, the Continental Lattice is the most important to discuss since it will literally drive player transcontinental movement in the future. Next is the Resource system, especially since they are going to dump everything to the Sunderer.
Sunderers already have too much functions. Unit to unit synergy would be nice.
Example:
Powered Ant + Infantry = Player Orbital Strike capability (consumes power off the the Ant)
Powered Ant + Sunderer = Area Shield (slowly drains power off Ant)
Essentially, Powered ANT + Unit = Enhanced/New Ability for that Unit
They are going to add another vehicle type yet they won't add a specific Power supply vehicle.
Imo, the last two is good enough for an FNO episode much like what happened with Resource discussion yesterday.

The Past Year, PlanetSide 2 has been out almost a year, what has been learned and what surprises were encountered along the way.
All very relevant topics although I see a danger of the discussion going all over the place with the last topic. It's a bit on the broad side and could result in any kind of discussion: From base design to F2P model to dedicated drivers in MBT's, etc. Consider making it more specific.

How much more do we really need to know about the continental lattice system? I mean, we're going to see a nice sneak peek of Hossin and we have the rough idea of how it will all work.
I guess the only thing to ask is what kind of benefits does one obtain for holding a continent (other than the obligatory bragging rights)?
Other than that I like the topic list.
Malorn was extremely gracious the other night on FNO talking about resources and I'm quite satisfied with where they are going. Extra details couldn't hurt though!
I'm MOST interested to hear about implants. I think that is THE best question on your list right now. They kind of opened a can of worms with that one and have been pretty tight lipped since so I'd like to hear what they're taking away from it.
I think my biggest question about implants is whether they have to be "implants" at all.
Do they have to be implanted into players? Or can they be various cool pieces of equipment with unique visual signatures so we know what we're up against? It might be more work for the art team but I think it would go a long way in improving the mechanic.
