**DISCLAIMER** I recommend watching in normal or large size as opposed to full screen for maximum viewing pleasure at high speed. Also, this video is almost an hour long! It's not intended to be watched all at once, though you are welcome to do so if you please. I thought it was an interesting idea and wanted to put together a time-lapse sort of video that spanned the entire "journey to Auraxium" in the race for world first with the new NS SMG. Both the beginning and end are in real time, but please feel free to skip through it as necessary. *Note that you can also change the speed by clicking the cogwheel on the YouTube video if you are opted into the HTML5 beta trial, which allows you to slow down (or speed up) portions as you see fit. Thanks to Wezdor for reminding me about that! Either way, I hope this video serves to be memorable of some of the really fun fights for those of you who were awesome enough to hang out with me overnight in my stream chat at http://itzmurda.com while this was all going down.

World First NS-7 PDW Auraxium Medal - Uncut Footage at 12x Speed of All 1160 Kills in One Sitting - YouTube

If you didn't know, for the release of GU13, Matt Higby proposed a challenge to see who could be the first person to achieve the Auraxium Medal with the new NS-7 PDW SMG. After staying up until 8am, something that I'm getting far too old to do on a regular basis like I used to, I was the first person to do just that. It happened roughly after a 10 hour play session with small breaks, which has been condensed down into about 50 minutes at 12x speed for this project.

This video stemmed from an idea that I had the night of the event while streaming, and I really wanted to make it come to life. Unfortunately, I struggled with how long to make the video and how fast to speed it up. Since Sony Vegas only allows 12x speed maximum without having to re-render a video, I decided to use 12x as my value. The downside of that is that the video is really long, however, if I sped it up any faster it would quickly turn into a garbled mess. As it is, even at 12x speed, PlanetSide 2 is fast-paced enough that some parts are hard to follow, especially if you are unfamiliar with the continents and bases.

Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it, whether you watch it for 53 minutes or 53 seconds. As always, thanks for all of your support and please be encouraged to comment, rate, and/or subscribe!

Also, you can follow my PlanetSide 2 daily live stream over at http://itzmurda.com or http://twitch.tv/itzmurda_tv where all of this was originally recorded.

Lastly, check me out on Twitter for PlanetSide 2 updates and to be notified when my stream goes live and new videos are posted at http://twitter.com/xItZMuRdAx.

As I mentioned, you can use the HTML5 YouTube viewer to adjust the speed from 3x-24x if you prefer to watch it at a different resolution, but it was not intended as a highlight video. It's simply just too much footage to cram into a reasonable amount of time. I imagine if I made it 4x speed instead, the question would be "Why would anyone watch this, it's four hours long..."

Not everyone will like it, but it's an idea I was trying to bring to life with this video. It's more of a "big picture" approach to the idea behind the film itself rather than showing off any skill or anything like that.

Two questions:

1) how do you like this one compared to the ES SMGs?

2) How did you manage to keep a decent level of ability? Granted i'm starting at a lower level of ability but I find after a marathon session my ability to actually get kills in the wee hours of the morning suffering, quite a bit sometimes. Did it become harder the closer you got to your goal?

Seeing people playing this game "as intended", dying all over the place every 1-2 kills, makes me even more disgusted with it than when i'm playing it myself.. no thanks.

Long live the cod crowd i guess, and congratulations on your medal

You do indeed get 200 certs per auraxium, but to answer the original quoted post, it wasn't just for a medal. It was fun to participate in the challenge and I would have done so even if no reward was given. Don't always need actual rewards to be motivated to do something. Fun is a good motivator, so is competition. :)

Why do we even have a video section?

It's a shame, but I'll be honest. I used the video forum for my first few videos, and nobody looked at them at all. I saw others using this forum for their videos, and it got much more attention. Sorry to say, just looking for the best way to share my content with the community, and that seems to be this forum. If it helps at all, it at least sparks a discussion so it's not really all that bad I don't think.

Plus Hamma and Jen like me! <3

Did you notice that he dodged your question? If he's concerned, he's not a machine. If he's not concerned, he's a machine because he has no feels. I'm betting he's a machine...

You know what else floats? A duck!
