the only downside is this.... ive been staring at my sign-in screen for 1+ hours now watching it try to load... why for the love of all that's holy and unholy couldnt they SPLIT the e-mails apart a day or 2?... only a idiot would think that the community wouldnt imedialy swarm their web-servers to fill out their info as soon as the e-mails started comeing =(

i guess its gonna take us 3 days jsut to fill out the friggen form... then another 1-2 weeks for SOE to get around to actualy sending the cd's to us.

I think I got in, but I haven't recieved an e-mail confirmation yet. Reason why is I can access the Beta site now (well, not right now, it's bogged down), and my Beta Status on the official site gives me a message reading:

"You have been accepted into the PlanetSide� Beta. You should have received an email with all of the details."

Still, it's kind of nerve-racking that I've recieved the e-mail yet... I'm holding my excitement back until then.

If you can post and browse around the beta site, then you are in, your email should be on the way, give it time, in the end there will be about 30k people let into the open forums, the first 11k emails were sent out tonight, so if you didnt get one yet, keep your hopes up because you could still get accepted

Well, I remember when I made Warcraft III there was a message similar. Something along the lines of, "If you don't get the CD or if the CD doesn't work, too bad." It was basically in place to cover themselves should the CD be lost in the mail or it was dysfunctional.

This may just be their way of saying this... Hopefully.

Wouldnt worry to much about shipping, when my friend was accepted to beta 3 for SWGs they rush shipped the cds overnight to him. And there are a hell of lot more beta testers for SWG then PS.

Oh and ive been in beta for that last week, if anyone was wondering where ive been :D

I got into Exclusive beta so i got to download it. At 1.4mbps average down speed it took me 6 hours to download it because of the load on the servers. I left it downloading last night and this morning it started downloading another 20 minutes of patches. Hopefully I'll be playing tonight.

It'll allow you to change your e-mail address and confirm your account. If you didnt' confirm your account you won't get in. Note you DO NOT have to be already accepted to the beta to use that URL.
