I havn't been able to find a good calculator for how much the damage debuff affects ZOE maxes, someone on reddit told me that ZOE + Kinetic means you have more HP than a stock max, which vastly contradicts my in-game experience.

My understanding is that 80% damage reduction from small arms, on a 2000hp max means you have 10,000 effective HP (50 BTK from Gauss Saw)

Max Kinetic means you have effectively 13,400 HP (85% Damage reduction, 67 BTK from Gauss Saw).

I can't remember the exact % that ZOE debuffs, it might be 30%, but I also have heard it is 35%, so I've had 3 values that cover a wide range - 35%, 30% (Assuming Kinetic with first assumption, or no kinetic with second assumption) and 25% (Assuming second assumption, with kinetic).

My formula is as follows

DMG x (1 - R) x EHP = 2000

DMG = Damage,
R = Resistance
EHP = Effective HP

Results in the following Effective HP values

(35% debuff, no kinetic) = 3636 HP or 2.75x more damage than stock
(30% Debuff, assuming kinetic + 35% or base 30% damage increase) = 4000 HP or 2.5x more damage than stock
(25% debuff, assuming kinetic + 30% damage increase) = 4.4k HP or 2.27x more damage than stock

There will be a slight margin of error in these, and I fully admit my mathematics could be wrong

I can sub in the two known values in the website and get the correct answer, but I am concerned as it seems to be ultra low HP for a zoe max, which is consistent with my experiences in game, but I am horrible at mathematics and could consider myself wrong.

This is the site I used for reference:
http://ps2model-axiom.rhcloud.com/#dmg/max/0.05/23

I ask you to check my maths, as I feel this could be wrong, although it is consistent with my in-game findings.

All I know is a dead MAX has 0 HP.
Pretty sure the game uses quadratic equations to calculate HP values.

Assuming a MAX has 10k EHP and a Gauss SAW does 30% more damage

10,000/260 = 38.4 bullets to kill

38.4 x 200 = 7,692 EHP .....right?

Edit - Wait, will depend on how the dmg reduction is calced?

2000HP/52dmg = 38.4 bullets to kill. Thats 80% reductions to the 200dmg round (40) plus 30% extra dmg added back in. So my maths is ok?

Sooo with max kinetic of 85% reduction;

13400/260 = 51.5 BTK

51.5 x 200 = 10,308 EHP which is more than a stock MAX.

I think in gu 10 the max kinetic armor has been increase to 1,5 each level (from 1%), up to 87,5% in max level.
Assuming the max only take 12,5% of damage.
An extra 30% with zoe active.
260 each bullet, down to 32,5 each bullet.
61,53 hits to kill, more then 50 hits to kill on an stock max.

It means that all zoe maxes should use kinetic armor! The flak armor is still the best armor with zoe off, but with zoe on, you must have kinetic armor on it or 2-3 infantry firing at you will take you down!
Max without flak armor = 1 c4 to kill him, with flak armor on max level 1 c4 = 50% of damage, too bad 2 c4 will still kill you, but c4 is still the most common source of damage to max users.
Max with zoe can run away before the c4 user can detonate it, so kinetic armor is the most useful armor to him, because he get too fragile without it!
I always said it, zoe + kinetic armor = god on the game! I always said the kinetic armor buff were going to make zoe users unstoppable, even with the extra damage debuff, from 20% to 30% was not enough to make it more fragile if they are using kinetic armor, a decimator to the face can only kill zoe users with they are not using kinetic armor.

Who cares? You kill people faster than they can react.

So like every other gun in the game? :lol:

So utterly false it hurts.

I can assure you from experience that 2 / 3 people will take you down with ZOE on pretty damn quickly. With Kinetic on full. So what do you do ? simply turn it off:)

^Yes, I realise that toggling it on/off is beneficial.

However, pending tests on the server we'll need to ascertain how ZOE affects it.

Can I confirm that ZOE has a 30% dmg debuff regardless of level?

I think it does Exo. I think the damage it deals goes up % in lvls, but damage you take is the same. Could be wrong tho:)

Yeah, I think it is a flat 30% increase in damage taken
