So after deploying the default turret for the gazzilianth time I once again had a problem where the bullets from the turret seem to hit the shield from MY side. It's happening all. The. Time. I set a turret and after about 2 mins or however many shots, the bug happens. The bullets look like they're hitting the screen and I tested the fact that I am indeed not hitting anything by testing a few shots on some friendlies. Naturally, they didn't get hit. Naturally that means I can't hit the enemy. Needs fixing ASAP. I can't go 2 mins on a turret without the bug happening. Turrets isn't going to be something I'm certing for awhile.

Yep this has happened to me. It was actually working fine when I initially put it down then at some point it just started hitting the shield. Every turret I put down after had the same issue!

Sounds like a nice anti camp feature to me ;)

It is a bug that made the default turret useless to me.
It is there since gu 09 and no fix to it yet!

If this has been around since gu 09 then people will have been forced to cert into other turrets since default doesn't work (not well enough at any rate). Default weapons are already average enough without BIG GLARING WEAKNESSES!
For crying out loud, fix this thing! I need it for indoor defense and I already need to cert into armstance and auto repair and a whole bunch of other stuff!
I mean, I know the devs have been balancing things out and what not but come on, to have neglected it this long? At least fix it with or shortly after the optimization.

This happens every single time I deploy the turret. Basically cripples the default engineer loadout for me.

Yep it happens about 50% of the time for me. More often than not I just use the default turret for a shield anyway. But seriously it needs to be fixed BAD.

More may have encountered the bug from GU09 but I posted this as a bug back on November 23rd 2012 and its still rooted.
I have not bothered to use it since.

Yeah, I was going to say this is one of the longest standing bugs in existence.

2012? 20-freaking-12!? :mad:
That does it. Forget optimization. Forget balance. Forget new content. I want the devs to get on an immediate bug stomp. Though optimization might have its own bugs so at the very least they should iron out ALL bugs they detect at that point. But how long will that be? TOO LONG!
FIX THIS! NOW! :mad::mad::mad:
Or at least explain why it hasn't been fixed. I know you devs are busy with balance and performance and what not but really, leaving a bug for nearly a year is no excuse.

Actually it's been in the game since beta. It's gotten worse from several patches though.

Tbh the only time i ever deploy the standard turret is when i want to climb up to something as an engineer or want to provide a stepladder for other people.
This sounds like a pretty serious bug though.
