Gamescom loot

Was at gamescom yesterday and now I'm finally home. Of course the first thing I did (after 3 hours queing for entrance) was to check out the PS2 booth :)
Prosieben had a nice booth with a "wheel of fortune" where you could win PS2 stuff if you created a PS2 account, all presented by some nice looking staffmembers. I liked the idea and since there was a steady line to the wheel all day I hope it pays off with some new players! :) of course there were aslo computers where you could try the game out.

I got to chat with Tobi and the other guys from the Pro7 team and they were realy nice! It was fun to talk to people that are really passionate about PS2! I don't have anybody here at home to do that with. If any of you Pro7 read this, Thanks and I hope you have a good show alltogether!

Also I got to shake hands with Matt Higby himself! I must confess that I got a bit nervous and stuttered a bit, lol but he is kind of a celebrity if your into this game right? :) Anyway I meant to tell him I'm a fan of Planetside and that I really like the game, I hope that came through, haha. He made a presentation of PS2 on the Nvidia stage and threw out som nice PS2 swag!

Unfortunantley 1 day is not enough at Gamescom, I never thought it would be so big (cant imagine how big E3 is) so next time I will preorder ticket early, be there 2-3 days and bring a chair for the queing (yea seriously!)

tl;dr:
Went to gamescom. Met Pro7 guys - nice people! Met Higby - Awesome. Gamescom too huge for only one day!

ended up with some PS2 dogtags, a PS2 mousemat and got my entrance ticket signed by Higby pics in attachment :)

These Pro7 guys are certainly a bit goofy but in a pleasant way and they're passionate for the game. They positively surprised me at the E3 panel, I must say.

It's saturday morning here, day after the meet the devs event. Got all teh swag, naturally, and free boxed copy.

You got that right. They actually contacted JaguarSkills (RPS camera man) and got him observer cam access on PTS for the big community Hossin event. Was there a date for the rescheduled event btw?

From what I know it was only Higby and the pro7 guys.
I dont live in germany, but will maybe go there next year! hope PS2 will have a booth then aswell :)

I'm glad that the Pro7 team was so enthusiastic and fun, I hope they will be get a good community going here in Europe!
