Achievement sound - I hear other people

Yesterday I played Planetside and time to time I could hear a distant sound from other players similar to the sound when I get regular achievements like from repairing a lot of stuff etc. It is like when they get achievement I could hear that.

Is it bug or feature or or do I have a hallucinations?
