September 12th Hotfix

Has made the game literally unplayable for me.

Downloaded it 5 minutes ago. My game crashes to desktop every few minutes.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Yes, as I just posted in the other thread, my friend loads the spawn on warpgate, lowest graphics, and crashes seconds after. I can play for 2-5 minutes before mine does.

Large numbers of people are having similar problems. SOE is looking into it.

They've released a new patch which seems to have stamped out the bug.

Crashing a whole hell of a lot? So am I! Fortunately, the test server seems to be fairly stable. Man, Hossin is pretty! And Hurakan looks amazing!

Instant Action fun.... no less than 3 large pitched battles raging on Esamir during the current alert. I died... see no quick way up to Mani. Fair enough, I died quite a bit South.

I'll try clicking IA and see if it drops me somewhere useful.

I click IA.... next thing I see is the Indar loading screen and I get dropped onto Tarwich where it's 1-12 vs. 1-12....

Click Logout in disgust before I even hit the ground....

After the recent updates im getting like 5-15 fps in areas which I had 30-35 fps before the updates.SOE:This is just getting beyond silly and frustrating.

Haha, you are completely right. Its quite the good old paradox that they announce that they are going to work on optimization 24/7 and then they release a patch/hotfix with more bugs than ever.

Well, I don't know specifically what the specs on the PS4 are, but I'm hoping they're close to or lower than my gaming comp's, because that's the only way I'm ever gonna get 60fps in this game.

A PS4 might be cheaper than buying a new Nvidia card, or a new CPU (plus mobo if you've got an older LGA1156 like I do) if you can stomach playing on a console.

I don't play FPS on console. I like my games full-flavor, not decaf.

As it stands, my existing board I can upgrade to a new FX CPU and new card likely cheaper than a PS4, and I already have ridiculous amounts of RAM.

No crashing for me but performance seems to have decreased. Can't tell for sure as my performance has been pretty shitty all the time, but now it seems to drop from "okayish" to "unplayable" with even less people around (Im cpu limited)

If you can use a fully-customizeable mouse and keyboard on a PS4, then sure.
