Many of you have received emails over the past few days with the news you've been waiting for: Your acceptance into the PlanetSide beta test. I just wanted to come and clarify some of the details.
There are two different delivery methods right now: download and CD. Your email will inform you which you should do. If you are downloading it, please visit the link in the email to download the installer. If you are receiving the beta disk, please make sure that you enter your shipping address on the web site we sent you to. Time is critical on that, so do it ASAP.
Beta Testers are still subject to the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Please take the time to review it and act according to the terms described. It is available for review in the PlanetSide Launcher. For many of you, the cat is already out of the bag and you've revealed that you are in the Beta Test. This is fine, but please limit any posts that directly concern your actual Beta Test experience and feedback to the Beta Test Forums. This includes posting any links to the beta web site itself.
If you have found that you can enter the beta site, but have not yet received your email, this may mean one of two things. Your email may be waiting in a queue to be sent out, or your email client may have identified our mail as spam and filtered it (many web-based email addresses will do this, including HotMail and Yahoo). If this is the case, the first step is to check your Bulk Mail folder for the email. Wait another 48 hours and check again. If you still have not received an email, send a message to [email protected] with your Station Name, explaining your situation and we will investigate it. Keep in mind that this is a manual, time-consuming process, so it may take some time to get a response. Therefore, it is best to be absolutely sure that your email has not been filtered.
We've sent out thousands of emails alerting people to their acceptance into the test, and this is your best opportunity to be a part of it. International fans, it is likely that we will be admitting a number of you into the test as well, so don't close your email just yet.
