Open Beta HAS NOT Started.

I just received some confirmation from SmokeJumper that open beta HAS NOT started. They have simply started collecting the info they need for when they are ready to go into open beta.

Also, the NDA is still in full effect. When it is lifted, we will hear it from SOE. My bet is probably via a press release.

Again, I got this confirmation from Dave Georgeson. I just wanted to clear up all the rumors floating around here as of late!

Dont yall get it, yall been sent open beta emails. They are getting yall set for open beta. Open beta doesn't start till that very first open beta dude gets his disk and d/l planetside to his computer. And tha'll take atleast a week or more for it to arrive.

As for all this commotion......I haven't got no emails yet......I'm hoping they're lookin at my aplication....:(

I used to have access to the beta site...now I do not.

Has this happened to anyone else who entered in their address information for open beta? I hope it's happening to other people, or this might mean I'm not in going to be in beta anymore :(

SmokeJumper posted on official board that it was a bug that let people access the beta boards. (only exclussive beta people were suppose to access it, not open beta people until open beta starts)

My best guess as to what they are doing is that they've sent out beta e-mail to comfirm address to send CDs to, after they get a good number of people to comfirm addresses they might send out CDs and start beta around the time those CD arrive. Of course i could be completely wrong and open beta might not start until october :p

**edit: Oh, as for the CD you should recieve it in about two weeks if you were lucky enough to get an e-mail and confirmed your mailing address via the link on the e-mail. You should/will recieve the CD before Open Beta starts, so you'll probably have it installed on your computer before you'll be able to play... Or so goes the story.
