How long do you think before the CDs go out?

This is speculation here. When do you think they will ship the Open Beta CD's? When do you think Open Beta will start?

On the boards he said Open starts ina couple weeks. So couple means "loose two" so I would expect the actual CDs next week or so, but you won't get any use off em till they start it up.

I'd say they get shipped in 2 weeks

After all how much time is there b4 next months 19th and how much time would they need....

Also take in mind there's already 11k ppl AND supposedely as I hear since they took off those 2 LARGE bugs they've been cutting out the small bugs, what I hear is that it's in fact already done and that the only thing to work with is the servers and slight optimizations in the game.

I'm really at the level where I don't care about bugs and problems. If it's going to be released in May, it's in a playable state now. Jesus, at least give us the damn forums back...

If Open Beta starts in 2 weeks, and it ends two weeks before release (like dave said), than thats 17 days of open beta! Isint that kinda short? Ither they get those disks out soon, or non beta peoples may have to wait longer than may 19th.

what i really think theyll do is start the beta during spring break. everyone will be out of school and theyll probably get a lot more game usage in.

I get the feeling that Open Beta may not end 2 weeks from release, just because I don't think they were planning to start Open Beta this late.

Regardless of the state of the game, playtesting and balancing an 'always-on' combat game with thousands and thousands of players . . . that's going to take more than one and a half or two weeks of play time. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Open Beta on right up to launch.

I, being evil, hope the ship beta CD's today, and start Open Beta tomorrow. I hope that the game gets set back a month or two (or three :D). That way, when retail versian is released, i will be able to kick some serious n00b ass!
