BEP you get for battling, so it lets you battle better.
CEP you get for commanding, so it lets you command better.

CEP allows you to do things like put waypoints on the map, and designate 'hot zones'. I think it also lets you band squads into a platoon/brigade/battalion/whatever. They may let it do other things, like let you say stuff to the entire empire.

it does, it gives you command abilities, like setting waypoints and having a bigger broadcast range, and ur armor changes. :)

CEP has visual and technological advatages. The higher rank you become, the more polygons are added to your armor. First Shin pads, then knee pads, neck dealy, etc.. CEP also. Well I'll let PSU speak for itsself.

The leader of a squad who commands successful missions, capturing a base, etc, is the only one that can attain CEPs. By design they are more difficult to attain this prevents players from being a one time commander, and gaining large ranks. Players will not be punished by just focusing on CEPs, however it is possible to balance both CEPs and BEPs. Commanders can also gain Battle XP while commanding, by killing and destroying objects. Unless your an armchair commander.

Command abilities allow better top-down control of a squad (however, squad members still have to willingly follow a command for it to work properly) and the chat capabilites allow situation reports to be reported easily up and down the command chain, as well as to allow top-down command announcements by five-star commanders

Commanders will get access to various command features that normal players do not have access to, such as access to command chat channels (to call help and backup for example) Also, they will be able to set waypoint assignments, priority "hot zones" for the rest of your Empire to see, and more.

Also i was if any of you guys know how many comanders are aloud in a outfit and squad ??

There is only one commander per squad. Outfits are unlike squads: they are controlled by gamers so there can be as many commanders as they choose. An outfit is merely a guild. Not a way of in-game organization.

does anyone think it will be hard to get ppl to follow you and gain command levels, cuz what if everyone wants their own CEP?

Anyone can get BR20 and CR20, so eventually virtually everyone -- even the most inept and incompetent moron -- will have a high CR rank to let them abuse Commander privaledges. So, that having been said, there is no limit to how many people with a high command rank are in an outfit or squad.

im sure you can have more than one person of command in a squad...just only one can be giving orders

I'm hoping people are still paying attention to this thread because I have another question about CEP...well more rather about Command Ranks. I know that when you get a higher command rank that your look changes but when you get like the knee pads and so on does it add more life/armor or is it purely cosmetic?

I don't believe this has been said, but they might have said somewhere its just for looks.

Pretty sure it's just cosmetic. I've never heard anything to the contrary.

There will be no idiot commanders. People simply wont follow them. If people dont follow them, they cant get CEP.

And what if people simply don't care and join their squad because they for some reason cannot get another? It may take them longer, but eventually they'll get there, and then they'll be fooling with hotpoint priority, Empire broadcast, and all the other crap that Commanders can do.

The add ons are purely visual. So no, you wont recieve stats upgrade by being a commander, only abilities to toy with, and an interesting suit of armor. Heres a pic of a high level commander.

NOTHING you do will give you more HP or Armor than the next guy. This game is based on an equal playing field.

CR only goes up to 5, as you move up you get all sorts of different abilities to help command your squad

Hi, could you repeat that? I didn't understand it when Hamma said it so I could use a third repeat of what he said. You know, just to be sure.

Thanks!

Did you ever concider that I had the post window open for those... say, four minutes between our posts? You are such an arrogant asshole, next time, I won't even answer your question, let you rot in your own misinformation and confusion.

Don't take it out on me because you didn't read the details.

This device is only available to those with Command Rank. It has four alternate mode settings. While the full details of this device are not yet known, it's basic function is to link up with the orbital command facilities and provides commanders with additional tactical infomation on a conti
