I experience performance drop this weekend.

After OMFG patch I was able to play on HIGH settings very well and smooth for several months but this weekend it is not good anymore.

Frame rates are dropping to unpleasant level when it is difficult to aim. Periodically when I am hit I get that small millisecond pauses like something is loading etc.

I dropped quality to Medium and everything is smooth again.

Anyone else experience the same problems?

I suspect they changed something in High quality settings and it is more demanding now than it was before.

I every few hours or so get this brief stutter that has probably only been happening the past week. It is very brief, but enough to make me sigh when it does happen (although it hasn't yet happened when in the middle of a fight).

I play on Ultra settings and have done since Beta with no problems... Shrug as to what it could be, or whether I'm even getting the same stutter as you.

Some of my outfit member/s have reported having the same thing these days as well.

I noticed that my fps since PU2 isn't as high as it was between PU1 and PU2. I deleted the userOptions.ini file after both updates and set everything back to the highest setting. Like you said almalino, it feels like something is more demanding than it was before.

Report it with the in-game Support Ticket. Enough people do it and they'll take notice. I'd also send a tweet to Higby (@mhigby) or Clegger (@Arclegger).

Ok, I'm not the only one. Hopefully SOE will explain the changes though mediau settings looks good for me as well.

A lot of people seem to be noticing a performance drop recently. It's certainly not as smooth for me as it was after PU01.

I don't know about you guys, but i'm getting these freezing frame issues lasting for like a sceond from time to time. It's incredibly annoying when I find myself in stressfull situations.

I seem to be getting reduced performance as well since the last patch.

Not really sure if I'm having reduced performance, but I do notice a very short freeze sometimes, it's like while playing I hit the "take screenshot" button or so. It isn't very severe though, just one of the "ugh" moments.

Yes, I have that. But also I have that "difficult to aim" feeling on high settings. It is not smooth. So I switched to medium and that fixed the issue.

Same here performance drop. Not freezies but as someone pointed lack of smoothness which for me translates in inability to acquire target and stay on target. Anyway my fps are pretty high from 120(capped in user.cfg) to 75-80 in big fights BUT the smoothness is not there...Had to drop everything to low and render distance to 1000.

I'm getting pretty decent performance (with low/mid settings, on a low end machine) and the FPS smoothing seems to work really well. There is the very occasional stutter, but that's something I pretty much expect doing anything.

My suggestion, crank down all your settings and lower your expectations

I'm not about to lower my expectations after supposed performance updates, when until recently I've not had problems with stuttering, or low FPS.
