I am by no means a doctor but one thing I noticed when I got a physical every year is that my doctor feels underneath my throat. I mean between my lower jaw and I asked him why he is doing that. He told me that it is the easiest way for him to detect inflammation on my lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are what produces white blood cells that make up your immune system. Doctors can take blood samples to detect elevated white blood cell count but we can also assist by doing just what they do by feeling the area between our lower jaw bone between visits. Don't look up or side to side just relax look forward and feel with your fingers between your lower jaw. Get used to how it feels normally and if you feel inflamation there for more than a week or so, go see a doctor.

Must be a sign to me to quit smoking... Soldier's habit, makes you do 5 minute breaks from the world. Sucks balls in the long run, though.
All the best to TB, I think everything's gonna be alright.

I smoked since I was 18. I'm 36 currently. I quit (cold turkey) about a year ago. Don't miss it at all... Saving lots of money too!
Sorry to hear about TB. :( Get well soon!

No, I'm quite far from being on active duty, but... I'll give you three tries... A country with conscription-based army that bases its discipline on prison rules and traditions and belongs to a country with relatively significant amount of smokers...
Not like I'm not proud of it though, and I did start smoking before being conscripted, but there it kind of cemented it into a full blown habit.

Sad to hear this, no one should have to go through this. Hopefully treatment will go well.

I'm with you on that, but I'll be stepping down with eCigarettes rather than cold turkey. It's just fits when you need a break (and you meet a lot of people in the smoke pit). Good Luck!
Best wishes and the best of luck to TB!

I say that (with TB's permission) SOE sell a Total Biscut decal with all proceeds going to cancer research. You pay whatever you want for the decal and all of it goes to charity.
