when I run dxdiag it says "chip type: Radeon 9700 AGP (ND). How do I know whether they put the 9700 PRO (what I orderred) or a regular 9700 in my system?

edit- Also in my control panel -> system it says "9700 series" under display, nowhere does it say 9700 PRO.

well I have a 9500 PRO and It doesn't say PRO....

The drivers simply say 9500/9700 series...

as for the dx diag I dont think that will tell you either... but maybe someone else could fill you in.

I never thought about it honestly, maybe look at the card.

My invoice says it's a Pro...I just wanted to check and make sure.

Pop open the case and just look at the card, look for a sticker on it. It should say pro on there. (Don't be afraid to pop open the case if you never have before, you're only looking at a card, not messing with it)

Easier way if you have XP

go: start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> system information

then click components, then display

voila =)
