As I understand it a lot of the weapons have a primary and secondary fire, like half-life. Does this mean the Prowler will also have a secondary fire? i.e. primary: one barrel at a time, secondary: both barrels.
And before any gimp even thinks about flaming me, it's just a question which I'd like to know the answer to.
cheers, Richie.
many weapons in PS have alt fires, the prowler does not

With the tanks i think it is safe to say that the primary fire will be the main cannon, and the secondary, or alt-fire will be the secondary cannon (magrider) or machinegun (prowler and vanguard)

The Prowler is a 3 man tank.
1 driver, 1 machinegun gunner and 1 cannons gunner.
Annyways, what i'd like to know is wheter or not theres different ammo types for vehciles

yea, different ammo would be good. Being able to switch between AP and HE shells would be cool, but I'm sure I remember reading on one of the dev interviews that you only get one type of round for vehicles

Well, I know MAXes don't have different ammo types, I would assume vehicles are the same.

I'm of the opinion that having two different ammo types (HE and AP) for the Prowler's main guns is redundant because, if it needs to engage infantry, it just needs to use its twin chaingun turret instead.
Also, there's the issue of practicality: a Prowler presumably has finite trunk space in which to store ammo reloads. Allowing for a second type of ammo would mean the tank crew would have to use some storage space for it, taking away from the chainguns' ammo supply, which undoubtedly drinks ammo at an awful rate, and from the AP ammo supply. Tanks are best used against other vehicles, armored turrets and MAX'es and leaving the infantry to other infantry... but run them over when possible. :)

:stupid:
I think that having AP and AI (and then AA) tank rounds and AP and AI (and then AA) chain gun rounds???, that does not make too much sence to me...
I think that it only has 1 typer per gun.

What's to be confused about?
The Prowler's main weapon is a twin 100mm cannon turret, which currently only fires an armor piercing high explosive (APHE) round.
The second turret on the Prowler has twin 12mm chainguns which is useful against infantry and aircraft, but only uses a standard ammo type.
The thread topic was brought up by someone who thought it would be good to have two ammo types for the twin 100mm cannons. I disagreed saying the chaingun on top takes care of the infantry better than a slower-firing cannon.
