New vehicle idea

wouldnt it be cool if they put in a plane designed for trasproting heavy tanks across the battle field. it could be under the same cert as the galaxy and it could have a couple of 20 mm guns for point defense. this way prowlers,vangaurds,and magriders could get to the battle field just as fast as the rest of the troops and get extracted just as fast. anyway let me know what yall think

pointless and all it does is support tanks... if it could carry 1 or at most 2 tanks it might be okay, but at this point in development there would be absolutely no point in it... tanks can drive to the battle if they wish, and galaxies would have to carry the tank drivers over.

it would be able to carry two tanks and the crews of the tanks would be able to sit in the tanks as its being carried. but it was just an idea

A fast moving tank that has really high armor and AV (anti-vehicular) weapons do minimum damage. It has many weapons: 2 chainguns for taking out infantry, SAM (Surface to Air Missle) launcher, and also a nuke launcher. When it fires the nuke, it will explode on impact and kill everything within it's radius. I say the radius should be like 1000 yards (wouldn't want to make it too big hehe) including terminals n' stuff. It would also kill friendlies, but since you'd most likely kill a few friendlies unintentionally we'd take out grief damage for this tank. It also has a special vanu-technology engine which recharges all weapons over a period of time (like if you use all of your ammo, you'd get it back in like 2 minutes). It'd also carry a lot of ammo so you wouldn't run out easily. It can also hover over water and fly for short periods of time.We love it! :rolleyes:

I personally love the idea of a tank transport. If it could only carry a tank, and moved fairly fast and wasn't as cumbersome as a Galaxy, that'd be great. Tanks can drive, sure, but they're terribly vulnerable in their travels, and aren't exactly the most agile vehicle for off-road travel, I imagine. Some kind of vehicle to deliver tanks like a Galaxy can deliver other vehicles would be really welcome -- especially for those continents that have absolutely wretched terrain for ground travel.

Hey you know what I have an idea. Instead of trying to change the game before we play the game why don't we actually wait for the game to come out. I'm sure the Dev's made the game the way they did for a reason. None of us except tose in exclusive beta have seen the game so there is no way to tell if we would actually ever need that plane. When the game comes out and you still think its a good idea then post a thread about it.

I concur. Skycrane-typed mass (1-2) vehicle transports would be awesome for bringing tanks and APCs to the frontlines.

Edit- Maybe 1 tank or two buggies. Should handle like a drunken cow with the tank actually engaged.

i personally think they should have like a true gunship kind of thing with open doors on the side where infantry can sit and shoot out of..but thats just me...and im pretty sure that would be a nightmare to balance

If any vehicles, a helocopter. Like a blackhawk helo.....or the 1s with 2 propellers......and you can shoot out of it......and its only for ground troops

and F'ed up terrain is ment for air battles usually.......

I dunno. The idea of transporting tanks would make assault on bases too common and too easy to pull off, considering that you can put tanks almost anyway.

If it did happen though it would have to be HUGE and SLOW, so that a major advantage isnt given, but i have to agree with Ghostling.
