Let's say I have an AMS set outside of an enemy base, and my outfit is gathering up and gearing up for an assault. Then here comes some people not in the outfit and just charge the base and blow our cover or whatever we are going to do. The question is, is there a way to set it so only your outfit can see your AMS respawn point so you can have a controlled assault, then let it be visible to all so they can sweep up? If not, do you think it would have a future of being in the game?

AMS can be set as squad- and outfit-only. Well, I'm not sure about outfit-only, but that's certainly a necessary option.

Well, if they have squad only AMSs they'll sure as hell have outfit only AMSs. I wouldn't worry anyway, these guys think of everything. :D

Yea it would, but seems kinda pointless when its squad only, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you can have like a max of 9 people in a squad? Personally, that just doesn't seem much of a force as opposed to allowing a whole outfit through.

Yep, they think of everything, but.. this is SoE. They have a track record of putting in the Really Bad Idea(tm)s as well. ;-)

10 people per squad.

Squad only is a good strategy, because it reduces spawn time.
