Seasons in PS?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed already but I'm going to ask anyway. Are there going to be seasons in PS? Like are they going to reset everyones char after like 4 months and all that good stuff? Thnx.

Nope. The closest you'll get to "seasons" is going from continent to continent (say from a lush continent to a snow continent). As for resetting peopls chars, I highly doubt it. One big appeal about this game is persistance, if they went around and resetted peoples chars every 4 months it wouldn't be very pesistant would it? I'd personally hate it if my BR20 specialized character were reset, and I'm sure many others would to. I think it's safe to say that resetting chars won't be happening, unless the users themselves deletes their own char.

Kind of along the same lines. Can a continent have its weather change based on its season? For example winter on a temprate continent would have snow and on a snow continent everything would get more frozen. And in the summer there would be a thaw and the rivers would flood. It'd be cool if rivers could flood. Are there any natural disatster? Like a tornado wasting a base or an earthquake swallowing up a tank or two?

The only change i know of is rain and thunderstorms....and if in a snowy climate snow. I think every continent will have its own little weather pattern. But no seasons, maybe more rain and storms in the night, but otherwise no seasonal weather patterns.;)

DUDE!!! thatd be HELLA SICK!! if the weather in planetside was lke the weather in real life. like cyssor could be the default continent where the seasons are always in effect like when its spring in real life its spring on cyssor. but then if you go north to another continent it could still be rainy and cloudy. but ofcourse i know this wouldnt work out with some continents... like you cnat have it snowing on seaharus (forgot how u spell that one)

Planetside is coming out in May of 2003. Not may of 2008--what are you talking about! Rain that accumulates? Maps and terrain that change based on the weather? Are you even living in the same year I am?

Planetside has dynamic weather. That alone is groundbreaking.
