Can you roll a vehicle ( i.e a ground one like a wraith etc) if you hit it hard enough in the side, sort of Halo style? Just thought it would be fun.

Nah, the vehicles in BF stay upside down untill they explode most of the time.

It would be pretty stupid looking if you hit a wraith with a rocket or something and it didn't get tossed like a rag doll. I hope the physics engine is atleast that realistic.

Can you roll a vehicle?
Well, I've never seen it done, and lord knows people have tried. So probably not.

realistic physics is one of the most important things in a fighting/war type of game, to make it fun. good physics just make for great laughs and screenshots. that's part of the reason why halo was so fun, shoot a warthog with a rocket and it rolls and moves from the rocket blast, every game should take a lesson or 5 from halo

Terik, you do realize that when you flip a vehicle in Battlefield, the vehicles tries to right itself back up right? And that is related to what TRscpd said.

it takes damage while unoccupied until it explodes.

In bf1942 the vehicles roll, when u roll you just hope u land right side up it depends on the speed and everything
uhh.. rolling a vehcile is quite possible. Basilisks are easy. Harassers, Deliverers, are harded to role. If your not carefully on how you roll the vehcile you might die inside it. Proboly the most difficult one to role is the Thresher, but its possible.

If vehicles are rollable, I wonder what they would do about getting in/out of it? Probably wouldn't let you do it at all because the animations wouldn't work correctly, either that or they'd have to make a special animation for a vehicle that is upside-down/on it's side. I'm thinking they're probably not rollable though, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.
