when you respawn, you're given standard armor and the suppressor. does that mean if your respawning point is an AMS, you're stuck w/ standard armor for the rest of your assault?

yah i was thinking the same thing =X It wouldnt make sence if that was the case and would ams really matter ??

ah yesh! but what if you could get new armor at said AMS.. then you wouldn't be stuck in standard armor.

With an AMS you can get anything you are certified for EXCEPT for MAX armor. They recently removed getting max armor from AMS because it was too good :D

I believe you spawn in Standard with a Supressor, REK, and a couple of clips (Probably a box of standard 9mm)

The question is 'what is their crazy excuse for you being able to get unlimited equipment out of a small truck?' I think that you can get unlimited equipment at an ams, if not that would make more sense. I was thinking it'd be more realistic if you could only take as much that was put in the trunk. Then again I hate realism in video games, so i think it would just burden large attacks if you could only get so much from an ams equipment terminal.

I think a better system would be the AMS has a set ammount of "nanites" just like the bases, and just like taking a weapon from a base decreases the energy, taking armor or weapons from an AMS should decrease that overall energy. Once the energy is depleted... umm... then you self destruct it?
I'd say then you take it back to the base, but it'd probably save you time to just destroy it and build a new one.

Maybe they'd introduce ANTs being able to refill an AMS then. You could just store the ANT in the AMS's cloak field and use it as needed.

Bah. Too complicated. I'd have to agree unlimited energy would be better for the gameplay.

That would have to be a REALLY REALLY REALLY big trunk. Lets just accept that the ams uses the same power vechicals do to create weapons and armor. Not to mention spawn you and cloak everything in a 10m radius. Wait....thats alot of power. Why do we need ANTs again?

Perhaps they lost the blueprints for incandencent light bulbs down through the years, and all bases use a new system that uses 10^50 times more power just for lighting a building, and the bases can't draw that much power from the atmosphere, thus requiring the ANT.

Well, you never know!

Id say it takes considerably more energy to produce viechles than any of the things u can get at AMS... Maybe respawning is very cheap energy wise, and making a bit of ammo and armor, cant take much energy...

A big tank, and max units however, would require a lot more... Plus there are automatick turrets and so on...

But really, would u want to be that guy that didnt get to get his equipment, coz the ams ran out of energy? I know i wouldnt, coz that would lead either to suicide, or a damn long hike home...

I never said I wanted it to be realistic, I actually remember posting that i want it to be UNrealistic. I was just wondering if ams's have a limit of what equipment you can get off them or not.

Prehaps the AMS can procure nanites from the standard system that all the vehicles draw power from, but it has to be deployed to do so.
