Mine works perfectly.

Software or hardware problem?

It's the headphone hardware. One of the speakers keeps on screwing up and I need to move the cord around

Yeah, soon you will have to put Celo tape on it to keep it that way, And not move your head at all...And...Oh man.....get a new head set before its to late..

A brand that will never break [and produces excellent sounc] but is very very expensive:

Sennheiser

Civ,

Likewise [DSP500].

I was thinking on getting a bluetooth, but decided against it.

I had like a 30 dollar one. Bah, you REALLY got ripped off. You are now allowed to be more angry than I am.

I've only had my new headset a week and as long as it doesn't break like the last one, it is worth every penny. The sound is amazing and the mic is very nice. Hopefully it will hold up a little longer than the last one did.

I have a labtek and it works great. They are fairly inexpensive, and they sound, and work great. the sound is clear, and the voice mic is very good.

i have those same 25$ plantronics, they work fine for me, i've had them for a month or 2. but i also have 80$ sennhieser wireless headphones, but i bought the cheap plantronics for games that use the mic, like counter-strike and Natural Selection. if these plantronics shit out, i might buy some nice sennhieser ones with a mic if i can find one

i've been using a Koss cs100 for like... four or five years now i think. top-notch quality for voice recording and sound and it only cost me $30 :)

Here's what I do. (and I am sure many other do it too).

I plug my regular speakers in, and just use the mic from the headset. then you don't have to care about the headset failing (unless it is the mic that is failing).

That just gets annoying

Prolonged use of headset speakers makes my ears bleed (not litereally)
