Can some one explain in simple terms who will be in the open beta or when it will be. Will the lucky closed beta people be in the open beta autimatically or will they have to reapply. :confused:

The people that applied and are consequently accepted will be in the Open Beta along with those members that took part in the closed beta. There will be about 30,000 total beta testers when open beta begins. It should begin sometime next week.

No, the closed beta people do not have to re-apply.

My guess is Wednesday-Thursday next week most of us should have our CDs. I hope.. ;)

Quick question while we're on the topic of open beta. Will we have to wait to actually play once those of us in open beta get our disks?

Like say I get my disks next tuesday, but beta doesn't start til thursday or what not. Will there be a certain start date where open beta people can log in or is it more of a start playing once you recieve your disks?

No, you won't have to wait. You can begin playing immediately, whether open beta has "technically" started or not.

Hopefully you'll only check it once a day, you know, after the mail has come. This snail mail thing doesn't work quite like email. ;)
