I wonder why they would let you in the beta when you have a TnT 2? It makes no sense to me!

You should get a new vid card any way. Go get that thing fixed and get in game! :D
Once again this empahsizes the ridiculousness of my system not getting me into exclusive beta.

Yeah, and how all these people (including me) get thier friends to sign up who don't really care too much about the game, and then they get into the exclusive beta, and never visit the site, or are active in the community... They should have only sent the exclusives to people who visited the PS site ATLEAST 5 times a month. For Christ sake, being completely random is not fair, and that kind of behavious sort of constitutes not having to be part of the community to get into the beta. Which IMHO is pure BS...

Maybe they thought, "what the hell, we'll give this guy with a TnT2 card an account". You know, as a sympathy thing! :)

Bah, I don't think the DXdiag made a difference at all.
You can get a Geforce 4 MX card for around $50.
MX cards are a POS :|
Cow get the GF4 ti 4200 for 149 bucks from Newegg like I showed you last night. Best card for the money.

Riiiiiiiiiiight... You get into Beta with a TnT2 M64 and I don't with my GeForce Ti 4200?
The devs are more cruel then you believe. :ugh:

TNT2 is probably more rare than a GF4 Ti4200 among gamers. The point of beta testing is to try different setups.

Not for exclusive. The main thing about exclusive was to test balance issues. Open Beta is stress testing and to try the different setups. Or at least that's how it generally is... Knowing SoE they probably re-wrote the beta book. :p

In that case your original statement has no merit. You were implying that you should have gotten in based on your video card. ;)

Well... nigh all people who were said to have gotten into exclusive beta had high specs. All of the people I know who got it (who did not mention it directly, but you kind of know when someone starts talking about the NDA and how they can't talk about it :p) greatly exceeded the minimum specs.
I've been a forumer on here and PSI for quite some time. I took a short break from teh PSU boards because the community had been very small and suddenly skyrocketed. I wasn't really prepared to sift through all the spam that we had already talked about.
Anyway, yes. Depending on your specs, depending on you previous beta involvements, depending on your forum activity (sometimes), and (most of all) depending on luck - you get into Beta. That is just a statement of fact. You do sometimes get into beta soley on your specs. :p
