I read somewhere in the BETA boards that people were allready getting theirs, but that they said not to play till the 17th... may be that's when Open starts.

Sporkfire said it would be a big announcment sometime later tonight.

(unless the NDA lift was it)

not playing beta yet, but i have a friend who is. Here is the standing on the MAX's

TR MAX: Best MAX
NC MAX: Best MAX for assaults
VS MAX: Best Anit-Vehicle MAX

I have also watched and saw that this was true, that should be pretty accurate

First of all lemme say: Cool shit.

Second of all lemme say: GOD DAMNIT!! I just found out two things.

1) The model of computer I bought (A Gateway) just over 2 years ago have been known to have bulging capacitors on the motherboards. This explains the random freezes I've been getting...at least it had better.

2) Although I know I specified that I didn't want a warrenty when I bought it, it's apparently under warrenty for another year. While this save me cash, it sucks ass because now I'm gonna be without my computer for a few days at least and more than likely a week or two if they have to send it back to SD. So although I'll be getting a shiney Beta CD in the mail, it's gonna have to collect dust for awhile sitting in the spot where my computer used to be while I play Dynasty Warriors 4 or Super Metoird for a couple weeks

Oh well at least I'll be able to actually surf the web from home again and run Teamspeak again without worrying it's just gonna lock up :p

i really only truly wanted to know how does the game run on certain system specs.

like does sumthin w/ a p4 1.6ghz 512ram 128mb vid card do the game justice?

any other ppl play the game w/ lower system specs, or better? how is it?

this is all i really want to know...

this is all i really want to know...

I have a Athy 1.2 512DDR GF4 Ti4400 128meg and I get good frame rates.

Good means 30 or so usually (if I had to guess). Sometimes there is some serious video lag (like if I've been running around a base for a while then go out side. As the doors open it can get slow).

In heavy fire fights (we're talking 50+ people here) it drops to around 15.

This is all on the "Recomended" video settings.

No actually the supressor is surprisingly good. Thing has a really small cone of fire, 30 rounds, and decent damage.

I would like to know how the cycler and bolt driver measure up. Especially the Bolt driver.

Supressor = very cool gun. It doesn't do an amazing amout of dmg but the CoF is amazing, you can run and still have a smaller CoF then some of the other rifles.

Bolt driver for me was a disapointment, many will disagree i'm sure but i just didn't think it was worth all the cert pts(you need to spend 2 for med assault then 3 i think for the sniping assault alone).

WooT!! NDA is gone!!! Now, down to bussiness. Can some lucky beta tester make a guide to the game? You know, like how good each weapon is, how the cert system works, and all that other good stuff. If you don't have the patience for that just keep the screen shots comming and we'll figure out the rest :D

P.S. Some TR kill a vanu for me

Watchout for the system specs. this game is a memory eater. with most graphics maxed (most), i had some loading slowdown as i went close to an enemy base. But as soon as the loading is done, its smooth for my system.

after that i bought another 512 of ram for a total of 1 gig and this thing runs so nicely, no loads at all, graphics maxed and evrything is running super fine.

sys specs
p4 2.4
1gig rdram @ 1066
gf4 ti4600
winxp
etc...

i think lower system will run fine also, you might need to tweak a tad your graphics settings but besides that, all is fine. Altho you want to plan to add some ram, it makes some super huge difference. So if you were thinking to break the 1gig ram barrier soon, now is the time :). besides that, you can still run fine with 512. lower than that, now im not too sure, be ready for some loading.

oh btw, THE GAME ROXXORS!!!!!

The CR3 feature is really a plus, ive never seen this in any other online games that require strategy and i didnt expected it to be able to be done. (the feature about, you can have pen with erazer and draw and write stuff on the map for battle planning, just imagine what you can do with that. You can work pretty darn well with other squads and you can plan some freaking nice attacks).
