First of all, Planetside is a friggin blast. I'm loving it and my schoolwork is already suffering.
Anyway, since the NDA is lifted I believe I am free to inform you of the cert costs. These are for TR, they should be the same for each empire, but I once heard a rumor they may not be (don't put any stock in that I'm just covering my rear)
You have 13 cert points at BR 10, make of that what you will
Everyone has access to standard and agile armor, pistols, medkits, the suppressor lmg and can hack doors and command consoles for free
Medium assault weapons - 2 (prereq for other weapon classes)
---Anti-vehicle - 3
---Heavy assault - 4
---Sniper - 3
---Special assault - 3
Infiltration armor - 2
Max AA - 2
Max AI - 3
Max AV - 3
Reinforced armor - 3
You get the ANT cert free with any other vehicle. There are no other prerequisites for any vehicle.
AMS - 2
Basilisk - 3
Deliverer - 3
Galaxy - 3
Harrasser - 2
Lightning - 4
Marauder - 3
Mosquito - 3
Prowler - 3
Reaver - 4
Sunderer - 3
Wraith - 2
Engineering - 3 (prereq for combat engineer)
---Combat engineer - 2
Medic - 3 (prereq for advancec)
---Advanced medic - 2
Hacking - 3 (prereq for advanced)
---Advanced hacking - 2
Of course this is just from a beta tester, I imagine any of it could be subject to change or I could have made a typo. Enjoy.

First.
Thank you!
Second.
Is that a typo or is the Lighting really more expensive than the heavy tanks?

you have to buy the lighting cert b4 u can buy the empire specific tank cert, so maybe it is my friend, maybe it is.

Well... we do get 4 characters per account...
At least we'll actually use those other characters now, knowing that we can't get certs for everything.
But I already knew that. :p
Thanks for posting these Spitnaz! You r0x0r!

I was a little boggled by the tank cost too, but I think it may be because the lightning is effective with one person, but the prowler requires multiple people to be effective.
I'll double check it though and if I dont correct it, assume it is right.

No you don't. There are no pre-reqs for vehicles. You want a vehicle, you get it. Lighting is more expensive because it's a one man vehicle, you don't need multiple people to man it so you can just hop in and go.

Hehe I like the higher numbers, makes people specialize a bit more.

You don't have to get lightning before prowler...there are no prerequisites for vehicles (except ant).

Simba,
Nope. Don't need to get Lighting before I get Magrider. (I knew that already)
Which is why I'm a bit surprised to see the Lighting is more expensive.
*Edit*
Damn! 5 Replies between me hitting the reply button and hitting the Sumbit button!! :p

I highly doubt it's a joke.
Spitnaz numbers are accurate to what I read in the patch notes (I made good use of the time that Open Beta players had access to the Exlusive Beta page  )

No, no prerequisites Simba. And this isn't a joke. These points actually seem to be balanced very well. By about the second or third lvl you should have enough certs to have as much killing power as anyone else, by BR 10 you can pretty much have an armor type, a vehicle cert, medium assault and a speacial weapon or ability. By lvl 20 you are extremely well rounded yet still not the master of everything.
If you want multiple vehicle certs, or multiple weapon specialties or multiple special abilities then you're going to be hurting in other areas, and I think that's exactly the point.

atm the lightning is the worse vechile to use atm..every time you go in reverse, the tank takes dmg

Yea but according to smoke they will be fixing that, part of taking vehicle damage from terrain out (meaning no damage over small hills and stuff, running into trees and off cliffs will still hurt though).

Once they fix the Pot-hole issue, that is, every pot-hole does dammage to a Lightning, then it'll rock
It's probably the third fastest in the game, right behind the Basilisk.
The cert costs are high, but it makes you not be Gawd at everything... plus they give you 3 for free.
So
BR 1 = 4 certs
BR 2 = 5 certs and so on
Not as bad but no one is going to be UBER Ausault Galaxy Tank pilot before BR 15 or so.

Yea the cert costs really aren't that bad. By BR 10 you can end up with a pretty well rounded character that can gives you some options as to how you want to play. Most recently, I've been playing with a BR 10 char with medium assault, reinforced, sniper, AI max, and wraith certs.
I love to snipe (though it can be difficult), so I often load up a wraith with sniper ammo and go find a sweet spot to set up on. But I have a cycler (medium assault) to fall back on in close range, plus an AI max for when I want to get up close and personal :)

OH yeah, what I play at BR 10
My primary (named Crease for when your in game) runs with Reinforced, Medium Assault, Heavy Assault, Bassilisk with the Regenerate implant and a few cert points left over.
My Alt (Morgolus) is Inf, Hack, Adv Hack, Wraith, Musquito. and the melee booster implant.
Both my characters can wrack up the kills...
Once everyone gets in I'm real easy to spot, I carry 2 Chainguns, one loaded AI, the other loaded AP... Plus it looks Kewl!

And think about it, you can only do so much at one time. Having two vehicle certs may give you options, but I'd like to see you fly a reaver and a mosquito at the same time. You could get all the support certs, but then you'd have to dig in your inventory to switch out which ones you were using, and as far as weapons go, a lot of people (like me) use the same rifle in both weapon slots and one has regular ammo and the other has AP ammo for faster switching (saves about 2 seconds which is worth it when a max rolls around the corner...not to say you'll usually live against a max solo, but I've done it enough times that Im not afraid to stand and fight).
Edit: Hunter kind of verified what I said while I was writing. We have almost the exact same set up except I use the harrasser because I like to transport a partner with me to new places and I use the shield implant.
Running around with two chainguns on your back really is cool, although it's hard to believe I don't get back spasms.

No you don't.
Here, I'll add the pre-requisites. All weapon skills aside from Medium Assault require Medium Assault before they can be bought. So you can't skip right to anti-vehicular, you need to get Medium Assault first.
All Utility skills require their basic component before the advanced component can be bought. So, before Advanced Hacking, you need Hacking.
That's absolutely it as far as pre-requisites go.
