What is the deal?

Every story I hear is NC doing this to TR, and TR doing that to NC. When people ask questions about Vanu vehicles or guns, the person who replies is always a NC/TR fighting against the Vanu, not a Vanu himself. Not once have I heard a story about a big Vanu battle. It's not that I am hearing bad things, or about how they always lose; its that Im not hearing anything at all.

As we all know: The opposite of love isn't hate, it's ignorance. :ugh:

Ditto, I have been waiting to hear some vanu stories/information but nobody talks about them. Though Miir's new video is great because he's a Vanu so it's 4 minutes of Vanu gameplay.

The first two Beta Journals?

Vanu takes a certain base.
Vanu locked two continents.

In more or less story mode. I'm hoping you've read those and are looking for 'I was all alone when..." stories?

The only story I've heard (aside from the Beta Journals) pertaining to Vanu Battles was one or two about the same battle from a TR perspective. They both talked about how they had pushed the Vanu all the way to one stronghold aside from the Vanu Sanctuary it was a gun tower on some continent whos name escapes me now but after assults from the ground and infiltration suited assalt from the air it ended in a massive battle in the control center.

Vanus are brainwashed and can't think for themselves, that's why nobody posts stories about experiences. :D

The short and sad answer is simple......

VS SUCK!

It pains me to say that believe me, since i've first looked up PS the VS have always been my main empire but in the beta the devs have made them (IMO among others) way too underpowered. Specially against the the TR (stupid miniguns :ugh: ), hopefully the dev team will balance things abit soon.

ok here is a story.

Me and 4 other outfit members went into a locked VS continent, took out a tower and staged an assault on a base. Unlocked the continent and ended up before logging off having 1/2 the continent back. vanu suck. We had reinforcements come but we pretty much took the entire thing by ourselves.

Really? I'll have to wait for the open cd's to pass judgment on this myself. I'm a TR fan, but I am a wholehearted supporter of making this as balanced as possible. It wouldn't be any fun to p4wn people if you're empire is generally known to be overpowered. Tons of "no skill" flames would be sure to ensue... and that's no fun. Killing vanu over and over again with skill... now that's fun. :p

That can happen quite a bit, especially during non-peak time, as well as on continents that are more than "one hop" away.

I led a group of 4 Vanu (2 AI MAX, 1 Hacker, 1 Med/Assault) and we nearly took over an entire continent from having only 1 tower. We met resistance, and even had the pleasure of beating up on MrVicchio (poor guy). It was a fun-filled 3.5 hrs of playing time.

BTW...don't know what empire I'm going to end up. They all have their strengths/weaknesses. I like the fact that VS can switch between armor-piercing and standard rounds in one click and they don't have to buy separate types of ammo. Their ammo can do both. They have superior mobility. They do seem a bit light on the toe-to-toe factor. Although as VS AI MAX, I've been able to take out a dozen or more opponents, including several enemy MAXs before dying. It's really dependent on recognizing the strengths of your armor and exploiting it.
