The damage for the secondary mode is different, i think, depending on the weapon. the damage on the chainblade is aggrivated i thought, as long as you hold it on the target. the force-blade just slices right on through, and the mag cutter takes a little bit of holding. at least, this is what i think...

cause they are about the same.. the only difference is the sound they make when you turn them on.

Because they wanted to make them look different and embody the empire.

Just to point out, the Vanu knife doesn't make much noise, but it makes you glow. The NC one hums at a fairly noticeable tone, whie the TR ones sounds like a goddamn chainsaw (it's very loud and sort of annoying to use). Personally, as far as Infiltrators go, the NC have it very good. The MAG-Scatter is a pretty nice gun, and their knife doesn't make you glow or alert everyone on the continent that you're there.

I have no idea if they do the same damage.

Hehehe, well, it's obviosuly more fun to rip someone up with a chainsaw than a glowing blade.

but when they see the glow and fall to the ground, its nice, :)

However, when they see the glow, and YOU fall to the ground, it isn't nice, :(

Im wondering, what does the Chainblade in second function look like? Does a chain behind the blade tip spin or does the whole tip thing move also?

However, when they see the glow, and YOU fall to the ground, it isn't nice,
which is more likely to be the scenario that gets played out

The chainblade looks identical to the chainswords from Warhammer 40,000, in my opinion. The only exception is that the tip of the PS chainblade has a solid metal sort of spike on it. It's actually sort of strange in that regard. When the chanblade is in secondary fire, your character always does the stab animation when using it. But, the actual moving chain isn't exposed on the tip, only on the length of the blade, so it makes more sense for your character to slash with it -- something you only do when the secondary mode is not active, and the chain unmoving.

So, the tip is immobile, the chain running along the edge of the blade spins like a chainsaw's chain when secondary fire is active.

Don't bring a knife to a gunfight is how I go. The pistols are way more effective unless you are in a totally quiet base and don't want to risk the sound.

WarHammer is awesome. My cousin has a set, and he let me build and spraypaint a little marine dude. Then he taught me how to play, and let me the Space Marines. His Eldar got owned pretty hard. :D
