Alternatives to the front door

Are there any entrances to structures, besides the main entranceways, through the roof or ground? perhaps through vents or a drainage system?

Yes. Many bases have backdoors that lead to their basements.

If you hotdrop from a Galaxy, or jump out of your reaver/Mosquito you can land top floor.

If its a tower, you can just walk in. If its a base, you'll need to hack the door, but then you're usually right by an equipment terminal and Medical thing that if you can hack too with the right cert. You could also just land in the court yard, and start on the main floor after hacking a door.

And there is a back door. Only big enough for non-vehicles. Needs to be hacked to get in.

Galaxy Hotdrop = passenger jump out of galaxy overhead. think Paratroopers.

If you're Vanu:
1. Get a MAX. AI would be your best bet.
2. Jumpjet onto the roof or balcony, and wait for someone to open the door (They will, otherwise they wont be able to kill you and you'll rain hellfire on top of them).
3. Kill them, and walk through the door before it closes.
4. Pwn.

I'm pretty sure there are three entrances to all bases: rooftop, ground floor entrance, and basement entrance. The rooftop is infantry-accessable by going up the stairs inside the outer wall, which always has two gates. The cap room is always either on the top floor or in the lower basement. The generator is usually located on the other floor. Air vehicle pads and dropship pads are always on the roof, and ground vehicle pads are either outside in the courtyard or in the basement garage. The player spawns are usually in the upper basement, and there are med and equip terminals on the ground floor and in the basement, as well as equip terms on the roof of one base type (don't remember which)

Towers have two doors on the ground floor and two doors on the roof. Currently, all their spawns and terminals are in the basement, but this is changing in the next big patch.
