So I have been getting pop up's lately here at work, and haven't been able to figure out where their coming from. I've run Ad Aware 3 times today to try and get rid of them, and it claims I'm free of spyware.

Right now PSU is the only thing open and I am still getting them.

Has PSU sold out to the Debil, or do I have Spyware I can't find?

Anyone else getting them browsing the forums?

Its some form of spywhere, one time my work pc got hijacked by random popups on sites I know didnt have popups (dragonwolves.com lol) I was able to find it in add/remove programs. Dont recall what it was called tho

Has to be spyware, I don't have any pop-ups when browsing PSU. Have you tried updating Ad-Aware?

Surfing too many porn sites, eh? :D

Meh, 58 isn't that much, i run Ad-aware about once a week and it usually finds about that much. Now the first time i ran 6.0 it found 200, that's a lot. :D

Want a free and VERY redundant spyware eradicating program?
Look here: http://security.kolla.de/

It's a little program called "SpyBot".. very good, very thorough.. it even finds stuff that is not part of "spyware", but can be used to track your use.. cookies.. registry files.. etc, that can be deleted.

Check it out.

You ever run ad-aware?

As soon as you open your internet explorer you get like 10 spyware files.

I run it every so often. Last round I had a few from voluntarily downloading Gamespot's download manager, which adaware designated a data miner. GS bastards.

Normally they're all cookies, too. Nothing like 100 or 200, not even after months of not checking.

Yes, last time I ran Adware (upgraded from 5.8 to 6.0) I had 100 bits, mostly cookies and a couple files from installing Kazaa (not the lite version which I now run).

Also whenever you upgrade to the latest datafile it always finds one or two more files!
