I was surfing Gamespot and decided to see how WWIIOL was doing since I left about 6 months ago. I think it has been well documented that this game was absolutely AWFUL at release and imo (and everyone elses, probably) is a textbook copy of what a game is NOT supposed to be at release.
Well, I am a big fan of the MMO and WWII aspects of the game, which is why I continued to pay despite the fact that the game was so poorly produced and developed.
So in today's news, ANOTHER of the 5 billion some-odd patches that they have released was put out in late march. It includes the following:
The patch, which upgrades the game to version 1.8, adds a number of improvements, including an all-new third-person animation system, new infantry models, the next generation of attrition and supply with the added capability of a vehicle reservation system,
In other words, the spot that we are right now in PS beta is the spot they are at TWO years after the games release. The fact that they managed to hang onto fans and the fact that Concerned Rat didn't just wash their hands of that title and the employees that put this POS together is just unbelievable to me.
Props to the PS dev staff for attempting to put out a quality product and not just rush it to the shelves to make a quick buck.
