Download the latest directX and install it. I think latest is DirectX 9, not sure tho.

Post your system specs, specifically your graphics card. Then I can help you....maybe. ;)

Grab the latest drivers for your video card and try to grab DirectX 9a from Microsoft. Most of the time you get this is when your running default windows drivers....specially for Windows XP

I don't think that card is good enough to run Planetside.... minimum is a 64mb card. Sry man.

Well, don't quote me on this, but that card may not be compatible with Planetside. You'll probably need to get a new graphics card before you can play. :(

A minimally compatible card shouldn't run too much but buy the best you can afford.

don't think of all the cards in their memory. If you really want a long lasting card, and you wanna play planetside NOW go get a radeon 9700 pro. You can get one for about as cheap as 300$ right now.

Radeon 9500s are good deals. Faster than the ti 4600 often on newer games and PS is a newer game. It's cheap too. around 200 I think.
