Dual Channel RAM?

I just bought an Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard and i was wondering if i should buy 2 sticks of 256MB DDR PC3200 to take advantage of the dual channel support, or just buy one stick of 512MB DDR PC3200?:confused:

If you plan on getting another 512mb later, get the single 512 stick for now, otherwise get 2 sticks of 256. :)

Depends on what your board supports for PC3200. Is it a Via KT400 chipset? If it is a lot of them only support 2 banks of 3200 ram and 2 banks = 1 slot. So if that is the case get one stick of 512mb.

its Nforce 2 im pretty sure the memory would work and id get the 2 256mb modules
