well its saturday and now i have to sit through another weekend of not playing and ive quit caring to tell the truth. i dont even want to play ps till my ghey pre order disks get here which maybe before the betas do but if for some reason my beta disks come first im willing to give someone the cd key for it cause i dont even want to play a game that cant even use regular mail in a organized fashion. trying to send the disks right at one of the busiest mailing times of the year is pretty ignorant. anyway i need to dry my tears and go watch some porn, if anyone who has a friend who can help then out with a dl link for game im sure the cd key ill get someday will work with it. get in touch with me and we can work something out

yes ive already had mail deliverd here or i wouldnt have even posted due to the fact that i was sitting on a empty orange crate on my front porch

the main reason im so tired of waiting is when they say they have all the disks and there doing a mass mailing and thats not what there doing at all there making some sending them then when more get done they ship those off as soon as they can theyve been doing it all week some peoples havent even been shipped yet but there being told they have and thats ridiculous

Interesting how its all the people that have beta that feel the need to tell us, waiting for our cd, to stop whinning. Its no wonder we don't take what you guys say to heart because you already have beta. And the problem, for all you beta people, is not that we have to wait for our cd but rather that we're told it will be here by such an such time and it isn't so we wonder if its ever coming. If we had been told that we may only get our cds in 2 weeks or so then it would be much easier to wait for it.

That's a pretty retarded thing to say, first you're manipulating yourself by telling yourself that the mail is never late, and second you're blaming sony for giving you high expectations. You and everyone else still waiting for their beta cd's needs to forget about the mail, and do something productive with your time instead of sitting around complaining that sony won't give you your cd's.
Also, the people who have beta already aren't complaining (unless they're smacktards) that the servers are lagged like hell and unplayable. Sure, there have been a few threads on it, but those are all new assholes that just got their beta cd's and are not realizing they're there to test the game, not to have fun playing it.
Speaking of not realizing that beta is for testing, the entire reason you and everyone else (including me) wants the beta, is to play the game, not to test it.
You're not thinking "God dammet, i want my beta cd's so i can sit on my ass trying to get in the server and watch my comp crash every time i try to log in because i'm just another one of the thousands testing the server's capacity." You're thinking "i want to get in on the action like the lucky bastards who are already testing."

err im not sitting around with razor blades to my wrists here guys i just think it blows when someone tells you something and it keeps not happening is all. if you feel the need to post here saying nonsense thats cool but i just got tired of waiting for mailman day after day and thought id just move on....... playing the open beta for a week isnt going to make or break me just thought that since i was tired of hanging on a nail id offer someone else the chance to use my cd key and move on to doing other things till the my preorder of game comes.

and if you think these type of posts are annoying heres a tip its pretty complex procedure but it works..... dont read them. if you happen to double click a post and its someone like me complaining pls feel free to move on

also to clear up other reply i do think the disks are coming just prolly not till mon or tues i just dont feel like counting the seconds for another couple days so id rather just put it out of my mind

i was real excited to play in the open beta and not cause i wanted to find some bugs to squash but because it would be great to get a feel for the game and play it for a couple weeks before it went gold but i dont think there going to extend the time they had planned to run the beta due to the fact that some people didnt get there disks and missed out on half of it and despite what people say about oh its beta its for testing they should know its just stress test for most part and they want people to log in just to "play" cause that is the test

if 70% of the people who applied to get into the beta got in there not lucky the 30% who didnt get in r just unlucky or rather not cared about by ps devs. if 30% of the people who applied to get into open got in then theyd be lucky well least to me thats how it would seem. what i do think is the worst part of all the beta mailings is the fact that so many people didnt get in then right after that the devs start letting the exclusive beta testers invite there friends on lord knows what kind of systems i think they shouldve started sending email links to the people who applied for and didnt recieve a exlcusive/open invite instead of just starting to hand them out to random people like they are now just my 2 cents

Also all they said they shipped on monday was the 'bulk' of them. Not 'all' of them, just the bulk. They DID say that if you got your address in by the end of last week, you WOULD receive your CD's.

1st part im not a christian so easter doesnt inspire me to eat alot of choclate and boil and color eggs nor feel a resounding sense of hope

2nd yes ive had plenty shipped by usps and i do know there slow hence the term snail mail. im more upset that even with the slow factor of the usps factored into the equation they still shouldve arrived from being shipped last friday which it turned out they werent

3rd and i realize they said bulk but they said that before and it didnt happen and in truth the thought had never occured to me that they might not have wanted everyone to get there disks at the same time since they said they were sending eastcoasts on last friday and westcoasts on last saturday to try and have everyone get them at apprx the same time.

He then promises them freedom and every pleasure imaginable if they endure it for 1 month longer. So the torture continues and the days pass by. On one of the days the man comes by again and says that the kid that looks smarter (Kid A) will be released to the promised heaven in only 3 days, while the dumber looking kid (Kid B) will still have to wait the previously allotted time. So Kid B, crestfallen, can do nothing else but wait and endure. Kid A, also having to endure, can only imagine the pleasures that await him in, now, only 1 more day! And then nothing happens... Kid A thinks he must have miscounted or something, so they wait another day. Nothing. It isn't until the very next day that the man in the lab coat walks in and apologises by saying that they had meant to free him, but that he'd have to wait longer now - another 3 days. He bitterly turns it over in his mind and realizes he really just need to nod and smile. After all, he's getting out earlier than that dumber looking kid, right? So, to make a long and dramatic story short, it does not come in those 3 days. During that time, Kid A could do nothing but think about what awaits him. He could only talk about how cool it is going to be in just a few more days! Obviously, Kid B did not appreciate that, but knew that he could do nothing to change the mind of the man in the lab coat. Finally, the man comes by again and the smarter looking kid asks why he has not been freed yet. The man adjusts his glasses and looks him over. He tells Kid A that they sent his release papers in through the mail, and that the proper department should have recieved them by now and he should be released. He then shrugs, and explains that it's tax season right now and that the mail is probably being bogged down. So it could be, oh, another 3 days... Kid A then goes crazy and starts foaming at the mouth. He refuses to talk normally and throws poo at anyone who acknowledges him from this point forward. Kid B, surprized at these turn of events, wonders what pushed the smarter looking kid over the edge... He'd ponder it more deeply if he could, but he can't. After all, he isn't the smarter looking kid...



And that, my friends, can explain the Open Beta tester's mental state of being for those who have not recieved their Beta CDs yet. You may think the story ends too soon, but guess where we are now?! That's right! Just where the story ends! It's irrelevant if we eventually get the CDs, because most of you will eventually get the retail. So for the moment, we are worse off then you. Kindly be quiet and lent us vent our angst.
