Seeing as I'm not in beta (yet, I hope:D ) I have a question as to the use/distribution of cert points.

-Do you need BEP and use a few cert points for a cert?

-How many cert points do you get? ( I heard that you get about 23 but I'm not for certain.)

-Which certs would you suggest are a good combonation?

You start out with 4 at BR1, you gain 1 cert point per BR level, I haven't a clue when it comes to CR since I haven't been a squad leader yet at all.

You can use certs at any cert terminal and as long as you have enough for the skill you're trying to buy you can.

you get 3 cert points to start and 1 cert point for each battle rank achieved, that is, battle rank 1 you have 4 cert points, br 2 you have 5, etc.

Probably the best thing we beta cd people can do initially is to go to vr training and check out all the weapons and vehicles first. Then decide on a particular role we want to assume. For example:

Base assault
counter attack
air interdiction
infiltrator
tank assault

so a base assault person, assuming they get to br 4 with 7 cert points, might decide to get reinforced armor (3) and medium assault (2) and then load up with a cycler, a suppressor, medkits and grenades and join a squad to attack a base. As soon as you get your next battle rank, get a special assault cert or an anti-vehicle cert so you can take out MAX armors and vehicles.

another option with base assault is to go with max armors. with 7 certs you could get both AI MAX and AV MAX (total of 6 cert points)

for someone who wants to be an infiltrator, you could get infiltrator armor (2), hacking (3) and advanced hacking (2) with your 7 cert points.

a tank assault person could get medium assault (2) and prowler or lightning certs (4 each)

air interdiction person could get medium assault (2) and reaver (4).

and so on.

To avoid confusion (cause I was confused at one point too), you START at BR1, giving you 4 cert points to start the game with.

Vauss has is pretty laid down and simple.
and TECHNICLY you start with 3 cert points, but 1 cert point per lvl, and if you start a br 1 <--see that its a 1 not a 0 thats 1 level) you get 4 :p
