Phone Booth. I don't know what else to say other than, "it sucked". I almost want to cry because I will never be able to convey to you all how absolutely enraged I am at myself for wasting my time and money on this movie.
I need a dose of PS right fucking now.

Really, I heard it was a great flick, but then, I haven't seen it so I will reserve judgement, looks like a rental tho. I may go see bulletproof monk, and I WILL go see Matrix and X2.

The high point of the movie was the X2 trailer.
In all honesty, the acting was actually not bad at all. Story? sucked. I'm not going to go into it too much, but just suffice it to say that "sucked" pretty much sums up every aspect of the flick.

I was disappointed most recently with 'The Core'. I liked the premise but they seemed to start inventing their own physics for the world and it really began to bug me. I know, I shouldn't be so picky about that kind of stuff but on top of that, it was predictable and poorly acted.

ive seen alot of horrid movies but the most recient was lost highway. That was the gayest, cheapest, most pointless movie ever made. whatever the budget was it had was more of a waste of money than the blair witch project.

i liked phone booth. it was alright, but, when you think about it, it was a helluva lot better of a movie than you could have ever expected where through the entire thing you were just staring at a guy standing in a phone booth, lol. it must have been really cheap to film, they only needed like 3 cameras through it all.
I liked the core, i wasn't expecting anything breathtaking or revolutionary, just a cool sci-fi/action flick and i was disapointed. (wish they would have made the hacker's role a buit more important though)
You want to see a boring and stupid movie then try to find a way to see L'odyse d'alice tremblay. Quebec made movies are usually more or less crappy when compared to hollywood films(duh they have 10x the budget and talent :D) but this one truly SUCKS.
Oh and Vic for saying you want to see X2 and Matrix Reloaded...

Christmas Vacation
First 5 minutes were boring as hell, the next five dropped my IQ a couple points, and it only went downhill from there.

Actually the young guy in the movie isn't a cop, but a "street wise "punk"", because they put some pretty boy actor in a leather jacket
But same shit. The movie might be good for a laugh or two, but looks to be crap.
Now if you're looking for a bad movie, watch the end to Gangs of New York. I say the ending because the rest of the movie is gold, but then for the end of the movie they pull this new plot outta no where.....

I wasn't willing to see the Core. It bothered me too much in the trailers and the actual idea of it is annoying. How did gangs of new york end? Tell me please as I'm not paying to watch it. Any of those Jackie Chan type things aren't good IMO. They're all the same.

But the Matrix or Star Wars is ok?

dont blaspheme star wars or the matrix plz :P
i thought Phone Booth was pretty good. Dont see House of 1000 Corpses unless you're really into that kinda thing. I thought a movie with Rob Zombie music would be tight, but this movie has the intro done by him and then the rest isnt, so that in itself was disappointing :(
btw, The Core looked like a crappy Armaggedon.
I was ragging on Matrix or SW i was merely pointing out that there's a double standard from many people that a movie can be hugely unrealistic and still be great but when it's something like the Core "IT SUX!!!!". :)

well, did u see Armaggedon?? It was teh crap, and The Core looked like a bad rip-off of it. At least one had Bruce Willis, he almost rescued it.

You know, I never considered it but you're right. I guess with The Core, it seemed like they were trying to hard to convince the audience that how things were working were true.
I liked the Matrix because the director made you forget about reality for a time and made things believable even though subconsiously you knew it was BS.

There was this one movie I forget what it was called, but during the whole movie they talked in a accent that you couldnt even understand what they were talking about. We turned it off 10 minutes into it

Well, when you talk about the core, the rest of the movie is set in a world that is very similar to our own, which is why it's dificult to suspend our disbelief when they go to the center of the earth.
In the Matrix, it is given that although the world looks similar to our own, it is infact an elaborate illusion that is succeptable to bending, which allows the characters to defy the laws of reality believably.
Star Wars is simple enough. It's set in a completely different universe.

yeah, who wants to see a movie about reality anyway?

Phone booth would have been a good movie, if they changed the enitre movie and called it something else. Someone made an interesting observation: "I could have listened to that movie on a CD, and it would have been the exact same thing.". I prefer "I could have listened to that movie on a CD, and it would have been better. Although only marginally so since you would still be able to see the ending coming 10 minutes into the movie and it would still have holes in the plot you could drive a Mac truck through.".
There are so many problems with this movie...

I just heard from my brother that Phone Booth was awesome and that I should go see it. :D

He lies. Think about it, he's your brother. Nothing lessens my misery than causing one of my brothers to share in it, especially if it's done in a sneaky ninja like way :p
