are you sure it's not just the connection? the servers lag pretty bad almost all the time right now. but also i have a radeon 9500, and the game will lag for a good minute or two as soon as you start up the game or go into a new area. untill it gets used to the new textures loading or something. i'm not sure but as soon as i spawn for the first time or go to a new continent my game lags really bad for a few minutes, the it's fine. is your like that or is it all the time? my friend has about the same comp as you but his processor is a bit slower, he's been wanting to know how the game will run when he gets it, i'd like to know.

Remember that issue SJ say will be fixed Monday. You got to wait 2-4 mins after you zone to get rid of the lag.

512mb of ram isn't enough.
I use currently (until UPS guy gets here):
1ghz athlon
768mb pc133 SDRAM
64mb Geforce4 mx420
With lowest settings I only need to reboot comp about once every 2 hours. I also have to have the lowest visual distance and lowest settings but that's fine with me.
New comp:
Athlon xp 2400+ thoroughbred
1024mb PC2700 DDR Ram
128mb Geforce4 ti4200
I'll probably still use very low settings with new comp just so I can get the most FPS possible (it's very hard shooting people with low FPS, especially when you're a wee little infiltrator).

hmm
1.4GHz athlon, 512mb ddr ram, gf4 ti4400
i run all the graphic options and no lag
all works fine here.. so fine i pump up the FSAA and AF :) everything turned on -1280x960
i think it is all about the RAM. the game noramally goes over 700megs for me... if i didn't have 1gig of ram i'd be swap'n
AMD Athlon (barton 512k L2) @ 2.5ghz (== ~3400XP-ish)
1gig ram :P
440mhz FSB (DDR PC4500)
Asus A7N8X (nforce2)
Ultra160 SCSI RAID
SB Audigy2 plat
ATI 9800pro uber OC'd
all watercooled

Remember tha Cyssor has the most lag, and culkid told me thats where his life stays pretty much.
Or does everybody still lag at the most inactive continent?

Yeah man, that's zone lag. It's pretty standard with any game involving zones, it's actually signifigantly less in PS then in any other game.
Still, awesome that they're fixing it.

I strongy reccomend getting 1024mb of RAM. I had 512 a little while ago and I had slowdowns when going through doors and such.
Now with 1024 it I don't have that problem. I have everything on high with the exception of high res textures. I haven't experimented with how much lag those cause and I don't really see a need for them anyhow; I'll test them out at some point im sure.
Just get 1024 and you'll see a world of difference in load times.
