Need the help of a nice Beta Person :)

I am trying to download PS and I seem to have a problem. It freezes whenever I get to a file called WAVE.PAK What I really need is for some nice beta person to send me the file either via email or through AIM. It would be much appreciated. :D

(not that that could ever happen :D) I could be hours away from beutifull beta action. For just a small contribution you could help me, a poor, misfortunate kid, have a much happier life. sorry, just read this thread.

this happened to me too, all you have to do is close out the launchpad program and start it up again.
it works like a DL manager, starting where you left off.

that happened to me on that exact file, i just closed out and opened up the launchpad program again and it worked fine.

Hehehe, tried that, the whole system just freezes when it gets close to the end of that file, every time, no matter what. I am afraid that the only thing that might save me would be a total file transplant. :D

well, then i dunno dude. try downloading the launchpad again. make sure to clear every trace of it out of your registry before you do that.

other than that, my only suggestion is send in an email regarding your problem

Could one of you beta guys just send that one file to me in an email or via AIM or something? I am confident that if I could skip over that file the rest of the download would flow quite nicely. I have heard of other people having the same problem on the same file even, and once they got a friend to send them the file the download went swimmingly. :D Soooooo, if you can spare the time, I would erect a small monument in your honor in the middle of my front yard. :D

Another shameless bump I am afraid. I refuse to beleive that I will never play PS because of one tiny file. I desprately need help from one of you beta people. Just send me that one little file and then I can play me some PS :D

Lots of people have indicated that if you just continue the DL and then choose FULL SCAN at the end it works fine.

If I was in beta I would, I know there are tons of beta people with cable or dsl, so just spare the guy a break and send him the file will ya?

well it froze alot of times for me while dling it

its a big file and all i can say is to keep tryin cause even if someone sends u it wouldnt it just dl it anyways?

and my email is screwed up and wont let me send anything

It freezes at the exact same spot every time. I have run it about 1,000 times and it freezes in the exact same spot. My email can't handle 80 meg either, thats why I will probably have someone get it to me via Kaza or AIM or something.

I finnaly got it working! Thanks to those that helped me (you know who you are) I got so much help from so many people that I erected quite a few monuments.
