I went down to the shooting range today to fire off a few rounds on my AK47 and I spy down range something odd, besides all the Osama and Saddam pics, it was something blue and shiny. I investigated and I found out it was a -brand new- Sony Vaio laptop with one large .45 bullethole right through the screen. Damned if I didn't take that thing home. If I get a new case and a new screen for this thing, I will have gotten myself a brand new computer for the price of a new screen addon. I couldn't believe none of the connections were hurt on it. This thing was souped up too, close to the specs on my second computer. What a find eh? The easter bunny must really like me.

A weapon designed for and used by a military is a military weapon.

Erm it's perfectly legal to own an AK, depending on your state :p
What I want is an MP5, even though I have no use for it what-so-ever....nevermind I think I'd rather have a new processor and MB and the spend what's left on stippers

Having an AK-47 is no big deal, as long as it is not set up for full automatic mode. At least, that is how I understand it. It's just a rifle then and IMO, not even a very good one.

There was a story on CNN not to long ago of a guy who busted a cap into his laptop, and got arrested for it. :p

Uh-Oh. If they ever make killing a computer a crime, I am in some deep trouble. Its not that I want to, they just seem to die around me. :(

There was a time when manufacturing these weapons to sell the American public was legal.
People who bought them at that time legaly own them and can legally sell them through transfered ownership.
The real difference is that now you have pay tons of money for them and you are ususally geting them used.

My dad bought mine years back and gave it to me.
The entire point of the second amendment is for the people to have access to military firearms--to deter militaries, foreign and domestic. Of course, that doesn't prevent our government and some of its well-intentioned constituents from attempting to engineer this inconvenient right out of existance, which is why you can't buy a full-auto AK-47.

Well, if you ever NEED these weapons then I owe you a coke.
Well, getting rid of something because contemporary circumstances render it uncecessary can be shortsighted, especially when you're talking about constitutionally protected rights.
