Far as I know there are two ways of jamming -- one is by throwing jammer grenades, and one is with the CR2 uplink gun.

My questions are:

1. What exactly does jamming affect?

2. How do you know if the jamming is working?

3. Does the jamming of a commander work? If so, what radius? etc.

Would appreciate any answers.

Thanks!

I havent used the JAM NADES or ANY NADES at all... i just rush into the turrents using the cycler with AP rnds and that will stomp 'em after a short stand off. Just hide behind a tree swing out shoot a burst go back behind tree wait for fire to cease and repeat. NO need to jam...u can always just get a MAX!

Stepping on a jammer nade disables all your implants just like when you first spawn. This is good if you are fighting someone with personal shield, or you are a infil and you want to make sure everybody in a room won't be able to flip on darklight and kill you after you whip out your knife.

So jamming can shut off turrets? (if so, for how long?)

And jamming can also disable implants?

Keep the answers coming, thanks guys. :)

So jamming can shut off turrets? (if so, for how long?)

Only the little Spitfire turrets made by Engineers. Jammer grenades also detonate any mines in their blast radius. The turret is jammed for a pretty long time. Probably between 1 to 2 minutes. I've never really waited around for the turret to become active again though, so I'm not 100%.

And jamming can also disable implants?

Yeah. It disables your own too if you're caught in the blast, so use it carefully.

Awesome, thanks Warborn!

Now for the other two questions:

2. How do you know if the jamming is working?

3. Does the jamming of a commander work? If so, what radius? etc.

Anybody know?

I threw a Jammer grenade once in the VR room and I heard an electric buzz for a couple minutes after that. It might be the indicator that jamming is going on....

I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of jamming for commanders is
