a friend of mine got into beta and his comp wont run it. he said i could use his. when i start to download i have to put in name and password. do i have to use the ones he signed up for beta with?

Tell him to change his password to something you can remember. He probably uses that same password for many things. Just tell him to change it before he gives it to you.
