I had a root canal today, it sucked :ugh: now they gotta go in and post it, and crown it.
Note To Self: When your tooth chips and you are 100 times more prone to infection, Call the dentist and dont wait a month

That sux Squeeky. :(
Yes they DO SUCK!
I had one when I was about 15, and it was the most awful thing I have ever experienced. About 3 years later my new dentist thought the tooth they worked on was infected and they wanted to re-do the root canal. Needless to say, 4 years later, I have not returned to the dentist. Every once in a while the tooth will flair up and get puffy, but that just shows you what lengths I am willing to go to in order to avoid another root canal.
Take EXTRA care of your teeth, this isn't something you want to experience.

Hmm...I've never had a root canal but everything i've ever heard about them would lead me to believe that they are an enjoyable thing that puts you into pure extasy. Who would have guessed they suck? :D

Lies
They hurt like shit, And they dont "touch" the nerve. The whole reason they are doing a root canal is because your nerve is infected with decay, so they rip the nerve out of your tooth and take a little needle thingy and file the canal all the way down to the bone. Then they put a metal bar in and crown it so the tooth doesnt crumble, without the nerve it doesnt receive noureshment, it is essentially dead, and yes, they hurt as much as you can imagine. Just do this, Drill your tooth to the bone, Take tweezers and rip out your nerves, file down the decay in the canal's, then ram a post into the hole, and crown it. Thats a root canal
