Whats your Style?

Lets hear a bit about what people like to do specifically in the game. Personally I am an Inf/Hacker with Adv Eng, Adv Hack, Infil Armor, with Melee bosster and Darklight Vision. When I am on the attack I love going in well before the rest of the squad, Its great to sneak up to the generator room and pepper some mines around the entrance, then hack some terminals and restock before moving in and disabling the generators, this can be devastating to any defenders. Anyone who tries to get to me in the Gen room will most likely die on my mines and with my squad rushing in the base falls easily. When I am defending ACE's are my best friend. Hiding Spitfires in strange places can take even a MAX by surprise when they cant figure out where they are being shot from, I even took down a couple of Reavers with some last night and of course regular foot soldiers get cut to pieces pretty quick by them. Mines are instant death to anyone in less then the Heaviest armor, and Boomers are little wonders. Boomers are great against MAXs and being in Infil armor I get almost 400 BEP for taking them down. Hacking peoples vehicles is also great fun and I do it when attacking and defending, especially Galaxies, AMS's, Reavers and anything that looks useful to them. Thats generally how I spend my time in PS, Almost at BR13 now, want to start getting some CR sometime I think.

I have similar playstyle.... execpt i dont have advanced hacking yet, i got AMS vehicle instead. I use boomers inside as my main weapon. Whenever i run out of ACE's i just run out to my AMS parked right outside and refill.

Oh yeah, I dont even carry a gun! ACES for the big folk, Knife blade and Melee Booster for the smaller.

I am an NC too, seems to be better teamplay and less TKing among us.

Whats your Style?
Well my gut response was to write that "I'm into leather but in a classy way" but I guess this is not that kind of forum...

Feign: I'm also kinda awed by the the whole stealth thing, but I think they will be severely hampered after the game has been out a while. Everyone and their mother will get darklight implants (I sure as hell will) so I think the 'sneaky business' will face a severe decline. (But I must admit the concept is damn cool.)

For myself I think I'll go Reinforced, medium assault rifle, AV and then points into both medical, hacking and engineering (not neccessarily in that order though). In other words - a support character. Why? Because I like to be able to do lots of things and I think that most of action will take place inside bases. Implants will be Darklight, Second Wind and Surge. I'll probably put some points into a Reaver too (in order to be able to switch roles completely, when the grunt thing gets too tedious... if it ever will.)

I'll most likely join an outfit right away, and adapt my character to the what's needed. I could live with having a 'driver' character too. (Transport and heavy attack vehicles.)

But to answer the topic, I play as a MAX/Vanguard Tanker so my style is: If it moves, and It isnt blue/yellow, blow to hell and back. :dance:

Yeah the Vanguard is the best tank, I love gunning in a Van. And I only need one more BR to be able to add the Reaver to my certifications, then I will be able to go full assault in that. I dont think that Infs will be much more seen then now. Many people have Darklight already but obvously dont run around with it on all the time. Only time I am ever spotted by darklight is in a CC or if I knife someone and they dont die. Aside from that I dont let people see me when placing mines and boomers and stuff and im sure not standing around when they go off.

I haven't really decided what roll i like best so i can't really say that. I like the vanu MAXes because they of their special ability, it makes for some good tactics. In general i like to be sneaky. I enjoy ambushing enemys when they least expect it. I guess ambushing just gives me a better rush than running at the enemy head on.

BR8 - Medium Assault, AV, Reinforced, Wraith for transportation... Basically your heavy footsoldier, loadout with REK, Beamer for shits n' giggles, Pulsar, 240 energy ammo, 24 for Lancer, 3 medikits..(by the way, im including the ammo that comes inside of the weapons)

Right now. Infantry all the way. I'm a ground pounder. Med Assault/reinforced/AV weaps. I go where I'm told.

And MAX units are growing to hate me. last night, I chalked up a good dozen to maybe 3 deaths to 'em. Shot down my fair share of reavers too.

That Vanguard is impressive and I met an impressive Magrider gunner last night. He capped me from a good distance.

BTW, I am TR.

One more rank, and I'm Heavy Infantry Assault with AV. :D

After that, I'm taking Special Assault. Then I'll work up engineering. problem there is, I don't have enough room for all my equip!! oh well.

Ran into some lovely placed spitfires last night. a couple got me, but most went down to striker fire.

Play Style? Controlled assault on a base, Hot Drops from Sunders and Galaxies. Provide cover fire for my hacker and MAXs. I usually am my MAXs counterpart. They kill the troops. i kill the MAXs.

Oh, I always play in squads. its the first thing i do. Don't like soloing too much, squad play is much more enjoyable.

The cloak doesn't make the infiltrator, the infiltrator makes the cloak ;)

My play style is generally scout/invisible squadmate. I work within a squad to help bring down unsuspecting targets on the way into a base, I will run the hack while we are there, then I will go on interior base patrol during the 15 minute cap. I generally use an AMP to do my business until I kill a TR, then I loot his pistol.

I plan to do a lot more with combat engineering as I get extra certs to spend.

Haha I think those were my Spitfires BeerJedi! I think I remember seeing you fighting in and around the Searhus crater. Were they NC Spitfires? I always hide them in nasty spots.

LOL, yes they were. I was takin' one out when i literally jumped on top of another. Had no idea, so i'm lookin' left, right up, behind, everywhere but down.

But after the first two "oddly" placed ones, we learned how to clear your toys out, damn took forever though. ;)

Haha I remember that exact moment, I was just placing them when you showed up. I placed that second one right at your feet while you were blowing the hell out of the first one. After that a pile of MAXs showed up and turrets became a lot less effective compared to my Boomers and mines against them.

I killed 2 MAXs and 2 soldiers with one Boomer and got over 1K in BEP for it. Try and run in the front door again why dont you.. hehe..
