looks GREAT!!!
But what's the point?
Gordon Freeman went to Xen, Black Mesa was contained, right? Blue Shift made it out....so why didn't they nuke the place? Aggh, I hate when stories are unexplainable.

But yeah, weak stories are annoying... even though I only find it a problem when they try and act like the story isn't weak. Games that just kind of ignore the story, I'm fine with. ;)

Who reads magazines? I just buy them for the pictures.
:stupid: It's all about the pictures.. and the captions. The captions are what really tells yea whats going on!
Do they mention bringing Sheppard back?
I don't know about you guys but I'd rather play the role of Sheppard (badass marine) than Freeman (slacker scientist).
Forget about Freeman! :D

I wont buy HL2, I was dissapointed with HL since I had played Deus Ex before it which owns HL in every single way. If u want story, play Deus Ex. If u want atmosphere, play Deus Ex, if u want a dark future realityv, play Deus Ex, its a masterpiece and the best game ever.
I've never even heard of that game. Must be some Euro trash. ;) :p

Which game? if you mean Deus Ex thats understandable, despite t being a pretty good game in its own right. but if you've never heard of Half Life, i'd like to ask you: under which rock, on which planet, in which galaxy, in which dimension, have you been since 1998ish?

We're allied with Zen now... wow.
There's a similar article in the June 2003 issue of Computer Games, goes into good detail about the enemy AI (Will destroy, jump, or crawl to get you you now, all in unscripted events) and how every object now has mass, density, material, and friction. They demonstrated this by dropping a wrench into some gears and psitons and jamming them up.
