ok, when your a combat engineer and you spend your sweet time creating gun emplacements, he mines and boomers, if you die or log out, does your hard work disappear or does it stick around? if it sticks around, for how long does it stick around? how effective are the lightning machine guns in defending installations?

Will you get XP for any kills they made when you log back on?

Do you have to be in the area do get the xp? If me and my squad take a base, and as I leave, I mine and turret the place, will I get xp if I am in a base on the other side of the continent when it kills someone? Or will I just be making it hard for them?

You must be in the continent to get exp.... if you zone to another continent all your turrets and mines go bye bye.

When you die they stay (throughly tested this one :) ) I know when my client crashes or i am booted for a short time i come back and they are still there.

Great thing about being an engineer is that you can get exp killin people in bases you haven't been at in 3 hours.

I love seeing those random exp messages.

EDIT: Oh...and i am not sure how long they last when you log out.... i don't think i get exp when i log. All your turrets and mines do go POOF when there is a server or zone crash.
