But you guys seem to know your stuff, so do you think this will run PS good on my comp?

I'd like to know what kind of RAM you have (SDRAM/DDR RAM/RDRAM and speed of RAM) but yeah. That processor's looking a little anorexic, but it's still quite capable. And the GeForce 4 MX isn't TOO great a card, but it'll suffice.

If you have ~$150 lying around, go nab yourself a GeForce 4 Ti4200 or a Radeon 9500 PRO. That'd go great with your machine.

is a GeForce FX 5200 AGP 128MB DDR DVI a good vid card??

It's a bit more than a GeForce 4 MX, but it's a heavily stripped-down version of NVidia's crappy GeForce FX 5800 card. It technically has full DirectX 9 support, but nowhere near enough raw horsepower to USE it. You'd do better with a GeForce 4 or a Radeon 9500 PRO (especially the latter, since it has full DirectX 9 support too, and the horsepower to make it work!)

Here's (http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/geforce_fx_5200_ultra/default.asp) a good review of the card.

Hmm. Give me the model number of your Gateway and I'll double-check. And I'm talking about your machine's MAIN memory (the 512 MB.) The card's memory is hopefully DDR.
